Metal entrepreneurs?

^ this
|
| |
Yeah, that's a bit weird.
|
| |
Do we not know the definition of entrepreneurs? It fits just fine.
|
| |
entrepreneurs means "boring outdated and delusional metalheads" than these guys are the entrepreneurs of all entrepreneurs.
|
| |
Can't wait! Philly here we come.
|
| |
Entrepreneur = an owner or manager of a business enterprise who makes money through risk and initiative.
from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneur
Lamb of God make art through risk and initiative, so in that light, it is totally legitimate to word them as such.
|
| |
yeaaaaa
|
| |
"metal entrepreneurs Lamb of God "
Ever heard of "independent journalism".
|
| |
Well then every musician is an entrepreneur.
|
| |
HHHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
But really. Of all words...
|
| |
all this debate over a fucking noun? leave it to sputnik...
|
| |
theres no risk in their music whatsoever
In their first albums, they took calculated risks, though...
|
| |
"all this debate over a fucking adjective?"
noun
|
| |
Well what I mean is that you shouldn't write your newsarticle as a fanboy!
|
| |
noun
oh wow how did I screw that up
|
| |
Well what I mean is that you shouldn't write your newsarticle as a fanboy!
I'm not a fan boy of Lamb of God at all...
Go and "Ctrl+F" "Voivod" to each of their album pages, I haven't rated not one of them, because I never gave a dedicated listen to any of their albums.
However, i like everything i have heard from them, that is separate songs.
And yeah, these guys are pioneers at what they do, as LoG and some other bands created the so called "New Wave of American Heavy Metal", and took further what Pantera started in the 90's, whether we like it or not.
So as i said, the noun i used is pretty legit from where I'm standing.
On another note, i would like to share with you guys that due to this news item, my bank account got fatter by 500,000 $.
So much for "independent journalism" lol :-P

I think "pioneers" then would be a better fit than "entrepreneurs." Being a "metal entrepreneur" sounds more like you're emphasizing their running a record label, or reinvented music/merch distribution. I guess in its literal definition it makes sense to use the word, it just sounds awkward because we don't generally view a band as a "business enterprise."
|
| |
Looking forward seeing them live again this summer at Graspop!
|
| |
Cool.
|
| |
Essentially all bands are entrepreneurs so its use is pointless because it isn't adding any relevant
information. Sound's pompous if anything.
|
| |
But really. Of all words...[2]
Sound's pompous if anything.[2]
|
| |
who the fuck cares what words he used. it got the message across
|
| |
Real entrepreneurs care...
|
| |
Lamb of God is a business. They are entrepreneurs.
