kyo is an amazing vocalist. not sure what i think about this album though. It's really weird, and every song kinda blends into each other. Only way I can tell when one ends is because there's a long pause between each one on the stream.

i prefer music that each song works on it's own. I'm sure though, once I listen to this a few more
times each song will take on it's own identity and I'll feel differently about it.

Dream Theater's Images and Words is generally referred to as their "classic" album, and Scenes is
Referred to as their most complex and artistic work...that's how I feel Uroboros and DSS will be
thought of...with uroboros being the classic and this being more along the lines of scenes.

Anyways, I prefer their earlier stuff TBH.

On first listen it was hard to distinguish between certain songs, but on subsequent listens the songs finally start to stand apart and I can pick out new things I didn't hear previously. The album is more cohesive compared to past albums that seem to have a mix of genres and styles.

I'm not sure if I like it better than Uroboros, but it's a solid album.

Definitely one of his finer moments. He's inconsistent with his live vocals. He strains his voice too much,which is why he's gotten surgery a few times now.
