I always thank that most of the negative hype that recieve this band is excesive but after assylum the best road to follow was the hiatus ,I enjoy a lot some of their songs but they were repetitive as AC/DC o dragonforce.

These guys ruled live so I'm dissapointed.

Really? I saw them live a few months back (April...what's that, three months now?) and was thoroughly unimpressed. Especially compared to their opening bands (Trivium and As I Lay Dying. Not the biggest fan of Trivium, but I must admit, they put on a great show, and AILD blew away expectations too).

Finally!

They're generic, and they play it safe, but they're head and shoulders above any of the other BS "Radio rock" bands out there. 10000 Fists is still a pretty good album to rock out to now and then. Doesn't make them brilliant, but it is what it is.

All opinion and can easily be said about the local garage band I can go see down the street. Not to mention The local garage band aren't a bunch of pretentious has-beens at the bottom of the proverbial genre pile. Disturbed have never been anything but an annoyance to anyone except a few angsty kids who have already outgrown them. I'm sure there is a person or six who give a shit about them but so far I count just one.

Late comment but I have to say I am surprised at the negativity I am seeing about Disturbed. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and have seen every form of metal there is and I happen to love Disturbed. I think the lyrics and music are both well written and I happen to love the overall feel of the band. In the same vein as Linkin Park, Papa Roach, Godsmack, and maybe even Korn. Basically though if you don't like the band then don't listen to them, there is no reason to say they suck.

I am sure I would find some of the music you listen to sucks in my opinion and I wouldn't wipe my arse with it but everyone has music they like and dislike.

Maybe it's a little bit of jealousy that they became rich and famous and you guys didn't.
