Beggars has been growing on me lately.

Really excited for this release.

What's funny is their first two albums, which people seem to love so much, are their worst. Band always gets better although I do miss the post hardcore days. Stoked for this.

This title is hilarious. In an earlier interview Dustin mentioned they were doing a bit of a seattle grunge thing on this record where they were subbing in major chords in places where you'd expect them to be minor. Can't believe they decided to name the record after that

gave up.

Start with Vheissu; if the softer elements appeal to you go forward in the discography and if the post-hardcore elements appeal to you go backwards.

Wish they would go back to the sound of Vheissu. Still, I like that they keep changing their sound instead of staying stagnant.

judging by the studio updates it seems like they will be bringing back the heavier aspects that they kind of ignored in beggars. i will be looking forward to/expecting some drop a riffage

They said in an interview somewhere that they're going to bring back some heaviness and math-rock tendencies, drawing from influences like Botch, though they said they didn't want to do the whole "riffage" thing anymore.

i will never understand why there is so much ill will towards such a quality band on this site. i would love for some of the haters so please explain why "thrice sucks." i bet they would have a pretty poor argument. if its not your style, thats one thing. but flat out saying they are not good, i just dont get it.

Agree on the hating. I'm guessing all the hatred comes from metalheads by clicking on like the first two neg comments i saw. Metal is sooo easy to make, its just all technique. It takes something more than that to make a masterpiece like Vheissu.
