Lol, power metal.
But in all honesty, Stu has some ridiculous range (even if his harsh vocals are as laughable as Rody Walker's).

Old news. It'll be interesting to see what happens, but I'd rather see him try to do something interesting and new with Into Eternity than just lend his very talented voice to the fading project that is Iced Earth.

Jon could've just gotten Tim Owens back and it would've been great.

Has Jon Schaffer remembered how to write a good song again? Because no amount of line-up changes are going to help until he addresses that problem.

Into Eternity's new record isn't going to be any good. I think that's pretty evident.

I hated Barlow's vocals on IE's last record, so really anyone on the mic would be an improvement.

Will he remain on IE while being in Iced Earth?

Nah Scattering was pretty bad, Buried In Oblivion is the only good Into Eternity album.

i don't really like the vocals on buried in oblivion they are too buried (HAH) and the singer often either isn't in key or doesn't have the range to achieve what the wants

Even if you put the vocals aside, the compositions are literally 3502348650247682479634 times better.

i guess i like the streamlined approach more. also, it's hard to just disregard the vocals, especially when they really ruin it

Nah man Block's vocals are awful, I'll take Chris Krall's voice any day of the week. I actually like them.

Blocks vocals are awful? Whaaaa? I love Into Eternity, mainly Oblivion and Scattering, and I like
Block and Krall about equally. New IE was could have been so much better, but i still have faith in
them.

I couldn't care for any of this news anymore.
Iced Earth should have died with their last 3 or so albums.

Block's vocals are too ridiculous to ever be taken seriously. I used to really like Scattering of Ashes a lot 4-5 years ago but now it's just so cheesy.
