They're not going to recreate Silent Waters. Why would you want it to be the exact same thing anyways? I mean Silent Waters is one of my favorite metal albums of all time, I definitely don't want the new album to be an exact clone of it.

This band is, at it's worst, pretty decent. Thus I'm expecting good things.

Can't say I've listened to this band. What is the most logical starting point? If you're going for their more recent stuff, Silent Waters. If you want to look into their earlier melodic death metal stuff then try Tales From The Thousand Lakes.

Silent Waters is the only album of theirs I really enjoy anymore which is strange considering all of their recent albums are quite similar.

Kinda similar yes, but they lean much more towards progressive metal while SW has the death/doom elements in it.
It also is much better.

Nothing too special, Silent Waters is excellent but Skyforger was really dissapointing, apart from Silver Bride.

I think Skyforger was the best album with Joutsen so far but I didnt like this song at all. I found it boring and mediocre.I hope its the worst song on the album bcs it kindoff sucks.

Bah, looks like they are sticking with the progressive metal element. Tomi's vocal range is simply too limited to keep me entertained for too long. Still getting this though, I love Amorphis.
