Sorta kinda definitely hate this band.
| |
I dig it.
| |
band has always been a sort of guilty pleasure but i dont like this
| |
The verse intro riff reminds me of built to spill. i like it a lot.
| |
Beyond two fantastic singles, I really can't get into these guys. Too sterile, I guess.
| |
I like it.
| |
wow that was seriously awesome
| |
Pretty good. Not great though.
| |
I don't like this.
| |
nice
| |
This band had some catchy tunes 6-8 years ago or so.... not too fond of this, though.
| |
Captain crunch I'm with you on your hatred.

*isn't surprised*
| |
I feel like they're not stepping far enough from home. It kind of bores me.
| |
I know someone who's gonna be overly excited about this.
| |
This is actually quite enjoyable by DCFC standards. Its less laid back and lackadaisical and more upbeat and intriguing to me. I liked it for what its worth.
Made me happy like "The Sound of Settling" does.
| |
Kinda forgot this was playing after about 45 seconds...oops guess I'll have to start it over.
| |
Woooowwww this is terrific. This has potential to be their best since Trans.
| |
I feeel this.
| |
It's not that bad, guys.
| |

"Woooowwww this is terrific. This has potential to be their best since Trans."
^This
| |
not enjoyable
| |
good instrumental. then the vocals and lyrics enter and ruin it as usual with death cab
| |
Good stuff.
| |
new Death Cab album this year too? hell yes.
| |
This rules beyond belief.
| |
holy shit this song is awesome
that guitar riff man, that guitar riff
| |
Not digging the lyrics too much, but the licks are sick.

Not sold. Lyrics / the vocal melody aren't as good as I'd hoped, but overall this is sounding better than much of Narrow Stairs. I miss something about airplanes.
| |
Yeah. I didn't like the lyrics at all
| |
"I'd agree that the vocal melody wasn't that great.
Hell, I'm still waiting for Postal Service 2"
^^
This x200, half of me still prefers Give Up to any full Death Cab album.
| |
sounds good so far, but not too big on his vocals on this song.
| |
I like the direction they seem to be going based on this song.
| |
yay death cab are good again
| |
Not bad at all
| |
happy happy times.
| |
new dcfc never hurt.
| |
I'm going to be the uncool one here and say I love these guys. I'll be even more uncool by saying that I prefer the albums that came after Transatlanticism more than their first few albums, and I really enjoyed Narrow Stairs (oh no I have my own opinions that don't follow the hipster code).
And Rag on them for their sound all you want, that comes down to personal preference, but to say the lyrics are bad is just plain false.
| |
^ you are actually being the cool one right now.
| |
This song is one of 3 good songs on the album. Maybe it will grow on me, but as of right now i don't really like the direction they took.
| |
The guitar riff is really fucking great and I agree with the guy who said it sounds like Built to Spill.
| |
I hate this band
| |
Promising shiz
| |
its aaight. nothing wrong with it. Narrow stairs sucked. hoping for a transatlanticism
| |
I can dig it.
| |

Amen to that sir. Anyone else feel like this album's gonna either make or break this band?
| |
seems overproduced, but who knows. I really want this to be as good as Trans, but I have my doubts. I'll still get the album though. Love me some Death Cab.
| |
"Anyone else feel like this album's gonna either make or break this band?"
Not at all. Maybe for fans of Transatlanticism and earlier, but they've only been getting more and more popular.
| |
narrow stairs had some of their best songs (Bixby, Grapevine Fires, New Twinsize Beds, Cath, The Ice is Getting Thinner)
| |
I've only listened to that album a couple of times and it just didn't stick for me.
| |
"i'm having dreams about you"
pretty good song
| |
fucking. love. this.
| |
eh, it's alright. looooong way from transatlanticism.
| |
that was swell
| |
Im a fan, excited for the new release
