song started out pretty awesome, sort of fell off towards the end. Still looking forward to it, seems like common existence came out so recently

You have much to do to impress me again, Thursday. I hope this new stuff is better.
|
| |
pretty poppy but I love it
stoked now
|
| |
'War All the Time' is classic and one of my favorite albums of all time... the rest of their discography is alright.
|
| |
its all about Full Collapse
|
| |
This song is so sweet. It's just catchy and atmospheric and sldfjaskldj awesome
|
| |
Needs more screaming vocals.
|
| |
I'm liking this, provided the whole album in't like this it could what Thursday need to freshen their sound up and rule again.
|
| |

that's my least favourite Thursday album. Full Collapse fuck yeh.
|
| |
"I'm liking this, provided the whole album in't like this it could what Thursday need to freshen their sound up and rule again."
Well, in that article, they say that this is the "pop song" of the new album and isn't representative of the whole thing, so I guess (and kind of hope) that the rest will be heavier.
|
| |
War all the Time is probably my favorite too. I just love the mood that the disc captures throughout. Common Existence is probably behind that. I haven't listened to Full Collapse in a Loooong time. Maybe I'll do that while I'm snowed the fuck it.
|
| |
always had a soft spot for this band. song isn't bad.
|
| |
chorus is kind of a let down, but everything else is pretty sweet.
|
| |
Sounds amazing. If this is "Thursday-pop", then they really can't fuck up (I don't object to catchiness anyway, as long as its done with a purpose). There will be heaviness elsewhere on the album, so all you Full Collapse kids shove it up your ass.
Also, WATT was my favorite album as well.
|
| |
sounds pretty good. i'm interested in what the album will be like if they start taking a "softer" approach.
|
| |
That was so great. I'm seriously impressed.
|
| |
loved common existence and this song makes my pants feel like i'll love this too
|
| |
War All The Time is my favourite too, followed by Common Existence.
This is pretty fucking awesome though, if very laid back by their standards.
|
| |
Song is awesome. No surprise, really.
What is surprising is how people can't get over Full Collapse. I don't get it. They have gotten progressively better since that release.
|
| |
A City By the Light Divided and Common Existence are not better than Full Collapse, nor War All the Time. You're crazy.
|
| |
If I review City by the Light Divided and give it a low rating, will everyone hate me?
|
| |
I'm fairly sure it's pretty much their lowest rated anyway, so probably not.
|
| |
there's no reason for it to only have a 3.5
|
| |
I actually think a City by the Light Divided is their best.
|
| |
My birthday. Will buy.
|
| |
singer sucks live.
|
| |
I can dig it
|
| |
Will listen later.
|
| |
ACBTLD was their worst CD imho. Hopefully this album will be just as good or better than Common Existence.
|
| |
This was pretty great
it's been a while since i've been through their discography and this is a nice little reintroduction
|
| |
I just can't stand the way he records his vocals now
|
| |
Stopped paying attention after full colapse.
I just can't stand the way he records his vocals now
Eh, he never sang on key anyway.
|
| |
"'War All the Time' is classic and one of my favorite albums of all time... the rest of their discography is alright."
Willie speaks the truth (as usual), but all ass-kissing aside Full Collapse is a not too distant second.
|
| |
Song is kinda meh. At least the drummer still rules.
|
| |
that was actually really good. so many new albums coming out in the next 2 months
|
| |
The vocalist for this band was, is, and will always be shit. Their music has always been pretty alright though.
|
| |
Geoff Rickly is my boyfriend so I'll beat anyone up who says anything bad about him anymore
|
| |
Wasn't ..err...expecting that.
was wanting something like
"WE WERE SAFEEEEEEEEEE, NOW WE'RE PARALYZED, SUSPENDED IN FLIGHT"
|
| |
It's different, but I actually like it a lot so far. Reminds me of "Love has led us astray" in a way. Looking forward to the record.
|
| |
War All The Time was their best. The album's atmosphere put it over
Full Collapse had some decent tunes
ACBTLD bored me for the most part
Common Existence was good but I don't want a continuation of that sound
|
| |
A City By the Light Divided is very underrated, IMO. Didn't really like Common Existence so I hope the new album isn't like that.
|
| |
Song is alright, still pretty stoked on the next album.
|
| |
Wow, this sounds awesome. I'm really psyched for this! I've always like Thursday a lot, but it's always been because of their dynamics. I hope that they don't continue to make more flat dynamic songs, as I really need their loud-soft dynamic to enjoy their music.
|
| |
"Half the reason we picked the album title is because it means, in Spanish, 'no returns.' As in, 'No returns, cause if you buy it, you got it!'"
LOLWUT?

LOLWUT?
Yeah, that was pretty much non-sense, still, anything seems totally reasonable to me after listening to Tom Delonge speak about Angels & Airwaves and shit.
|
| |
Also, here is a pretty good quality version of another song off the album: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-QYR3T5r1o
|

ACBTLD is absolutely my favourite Thursday album. I've gotta feeling this next one's gonna please me.
|
| |
I actually liked the song , catchy
|
| |
That was actually pretty good...I always liked when they experimented with some of the more laid back, atmospheric kinds of stuff.
