Oasis 'The Masterplan' Video 2006-10-16 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 4 Comments | Oasis have shot a video for the second classic b-side to be taken from the upcoming Stop The Clocks EP.
According to an update on the band's official website:
"You are able to view the brand new video for The Masterplan on MSN now! The animated video sees Oasis transported into a stunning world based entirely on the paintings of legendary northern artist L.S Lowry including subtle modern day twists and detailing.
"The UK TV exclusive of the video will be aired on Top Of The Pops, BBC2 at 8pm on the 21st October."
'The Masterplan,' though originally released on the back of the 'Wonderwall' single, is considered by many to be one of Noel Gallagher's greatest compositions. Rocker 'Acquiesce' was also graced with a video and it, too, is considered the band's most overlooked gem.
Both tracks are taken the forthcoming 'best of' compilation Stop The Clocks, the final release the band will make on the Sony label. It and the Stop The Clocks EP are named for the legendary unreleased track which Noel considers his crowning achievement and which has only been played live once by Gallagher.

does ne1 else feel its a bit dodgy to reach back and grab b-sides from 10 years ago for new videos? i love oasis, and the songs are super and shuld've been released easlier, but it seems sorta despearte.

It's in support of their best of cd, that they were required to release to fufill there recording contract.
