however that sounded pretty good once you wade through all the frustratingly annoying white noise

This will most definitely trump Lost in the Sound, but probably not Define.

His cleans sound worse on this song though.

Stop complaining about the album's advertising, it keeps your attention, and that's the point.

Give 'em a break man.

Bands have gotta do all they can to maintain people's interest and stand out in the crowd that is
the music industry of today.

"Stop complaining about the album's advertising, it keeps your attention, and that's the point."

Just because the advertising accomplishes its goal doesn't mean it's acceptable.

I'm on the face. It annoys me that they won't just release the fucking song, and the white noise
pissed me off too. But I am still really excited and now I want to hear the entire thing extremely
bad.

as far as their first song went. It was smart to do drums solo. You know why? THEY GOT A
NEW DRUMMER, AND EVERYONE QUESTIONED WHETHER OR NOT THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOMEONE TO STEP UP TO
THE PLATE AND OWN THAT KIT

if I was in their shoes. Having something to prove I would have done all of this and more. so, kudos
to them.

TL;DR? WEOOOOOOO Underoath!!!!!!!!

I guess saying all that means I'm leaning more towards the acceptance. But it is equally annoying
having to wait for a new god damn track from these assholes.

"Bands have gotta do all they can to maintain people's interest and stand out in the crowd that is
the music industry of today."

that might be true for more irrelevant bands, but first of all, its underoath. they're probably one of the few bands that DONT need to promote the shit out of their album in order to sell copies. secondly, they just recently went through an enormous line-up change, which alone has spurred more hype around the new album than this shitty viral advertising strategy. its just plain annoying at this point. release a full song so people can enjoy it.
