Their last album All Seeing Eye was incredibly diverse and this is only one song out of it not showing all the facets this band encompasses. They are definitely more progressive/experimental than Gojira, much closer to the likes of Messuggah and Tool.

Being french, metal and progressive doesn't mean it's a Gojira cover band...
It sounds nothing like Gojira, and this album is amazing.
And no they didn't discover the band. Their popularity raised with Hacride (probably the best band of the genre out there) I guess.

Yeah. MuEmpire is right. It's obvious that you didn't listen to their entire album. They don't sound anything like Gojira, really.

These tracks come from their previous album, All Seeing Eye released in 2008. The new album is already available in France though.

Well I'm pretty sure that what I'm hearing has a similarity to Gojira. So I don't know what to tell you there bud.

Well. I've never thought of Gojira while listening to this band. Messuggah, Textures, Tool most frequently came to my mind. Besides, haven't read any review in which they're compared to Gojira. Sure you can find some similarities. Namely, both bands play heavy music, but Gojira are more into an extreme kind of metal while these guys are more progressive-oriented. You can here lots of ambient and not very obvious instrumentation in their music like trumpets or cymbals for example.

The heavy sections are very sludgy/ proggy. That's my comparison.

Yeah. That and certainly harsh vocals are the only aspects that connect these two bands. Not even close to covering imo.

The bjork cover will not hold a candle to helmet's version.
