Sounds like something that would've been off Shangri La Dee Da, only better. Kinda reminds me of something that would've been off Libertad, as well. Not a bad thing, not at all. I really like the song.

Well the people who described it as such heard the whole thing.

No band can make good music anymore. I don't know why they even try.

Don't want to try it. Purple was a fantastic, awesome album, but everything else I've heard from them is major meh

what a piece of shit this song is. What happened to this band? I don't understand how anyone can think this is good. Sounds like something that would be on a B-sides. After Core and Purple they went downhill

STP was the most consistent alt-rock singles band of the early-mid 90's pretty much but this song is pretty bad and waaaaaaay overproduced IMO

Yeah I love STP, but this song was well not what I expected... here is hoping for the other songs to be much better.

Not what I was hoping for, but it's not overly bad. Became a bit more palatable after a few listens. Might even be quite a decent live track (sans production).

I somehow get how this is supposed to sound 'Beatles-esque'. Song is flat out bad though.

Consistency is debatable, AiC was just better

Even in their heyday the STP were a shitty band hanging off the coattails of better bands

AIC is the better band. That's why I said they were a great SINGLES band.

I can't believe people put Core as these guys' best album. They hadn't even developed their sound yet. I mean, I like it. However, Purple and Tiny Music are their best albums. Tiny music was a bold album and a very good one at that and Purple is where they truly found their own sound. No. 4 and Shangra are both good records too, if you actually listen to the music and the melodies. The DeLeo Bros know how to write good, catchy music.

However, I do hope the rest of this album is more inspired than this tune. I can't you can't hear the Beatles-esque musically in the verses. It's definitely there. That could have been a good song, but it seems kind of rushed.
