Fair to Midland Benefit Show

2010-01-13 by samstrikesback | 10 Comments
This past weekend, Texas prog rockers Fair to Midland blew a tire while on tour in Arizona. The bus rolled over nine times in the desert and, along with all of their equipment, was destroyed. One member of the band needed to be airlifted to the hospital, but is fine now.

The Dallas-based band have organized a few benefit shows to help them recover after the accident and allow them to purchase some new equipment and a new bus. The first show is scheduled to take place at The Boiler Room in Denton, TX on February 4, featuring the band, Trebuchet and Nothing More.

Proceeds will go to the Fair to Midland "Keep on Rocking Fund".

The band have posted a photo album of the accident to Facebook.

That really sucks. If I could go to any of these I'd happily just drop money.

If you can't make it to the shows, you can still donate to them here if you want. Any extra money is being donated to a Haiti relief fund.

Also, they uploaded a video of the aftermath with a clip from a new song fyi. Sucks about the equipment, but it's good to see that no one was seriously hurt.
