Hopefully this is good, I'm seeing them with a friend later this month.

Wow! Having not listened to a switchfoot album in a long time, I must say I am extremely impressed with how they have progressed. There's definitely a lot of influences in these new tunes(U2 comes to mind).
I will be picking this up for sure!

Reviewing. Band was really stuck in between semi-weird brilliance (Dirty Second Hands, Circles, Faust Midas and Myself) and commercialized, pseudo-motivational drivel (Awakening, Oh! Gravity., American Dream) on Oh! Gravity so my expectations are really askew.

I might actually check this out. I loved some songs back when I was getting into music, and I feel like I could still listen to them everynow and then. Looks like I'll just wait for your review Waior.

Oh! Gravity was kind of a disappointment, but Switchfoot has never been that amazing.. will probably listen tonight though when I'm done with Dashboard's.

Waior - I'm guessing you don't mean that in a good way?

I don't mean it in a good way, unfortunately. I really enjoy a lot of their albums; this one is seriously disappointing.

All my roommates are really excited for this....

Hmm... Yea, definitely not as good. Sounds like they're tying too hard, and Jon's trying to push his voice too high.

"I've made a mess of me" pretty much sums this up...

I thought Oh! Gravity was their best album so far, so i'll definitely give the new album a go
