After the release of Architects’ vinyl-only 10th anniversary edition of All Our Gods Have Abandoned Us, the feedback from it has left me curious to know what the overall consensus is here on Spuitnik. How do YOU consume your music?
Below is a questionnaire. Hopefully I’ve covered everything.

I have a sizable vinyl collection from back when I fell for the grift but I never listen to them because digital is simply superior in every way.

Yeah I have a decent CD collection and should probably continue building it, but Spotify is just too convenient. Very annoying though when albums randomly drop off of it. I just try to buy a shirt every time I see a band or see a drop I like.
Youtube premium would be nice but I have too many subscriptions as is

seems like a hassle but it takes exactly the same amount of effort as looking it up on youtube and finding a playlist that isn't littered with low quality music video copies or dealing with spotify's myriad bullshit

This is a great point. I still probably remember all the track numbers from 50 CDs I had lol

Every few months there's a long vinyl session, and I frequently blast compacts in the car. I sometimes play music from tapes too. Mostly using the streaming anyway, I save physical formats for music that's either inaccessible otherwise, personally special or by artists whom I feel like supporting.

Getting close to 1,000 CDs, but I grab vinyl LPs if the price is "reasonable". I use Spotify for anything new as a way of window shopping; Bandcamp for a lot of artists that may not produce physical media. I definitely miss that relational aspect of "needing" to acquire a physical copy of your music and making the most out of your well-spent money.
Very much against the corporate approach of "you will own nothing and be happy with it" in the music/videogame/movie/younameit industry. There is no guarantee that Spotify/Netflix/Steam will be here in 10 years. If your ownership of something that you paid for with your money is beholden to a company's existence, then you don't really own it.

Thing is, I grew up in a fairly poor family so being able to purchase CDs was reserved for holiday and birthday presents so I had a paltry collection of cassettes and CDs by the time I went to college. At that point I torrented nearly all my music (got 1 or 2 C&Ds for that) until streaming became more viable. Bandcamp has been amazing in terms of being able to buy high-quality digital copies.

Good sound card and monitor speakers at home.
Over-ear headphones at work and sometimes at home if I've got time to fully enjoy sound.
320kbps/flac all the way.
Bandcamp only to check new stuff out.
