Some more music to be digested by the wonderful sput-community. Pretty easy picks for what I'm going for this upcoming week.

Nadja, Jess and the Ancients and all the metal! Interesting week.

cor22222
05.19.21
Also new The Devil Wears Prada's ep, Odraza's ep, Vulture's album and Monster Magnet's longplay

Elynna

Wow, unexpectedly massive release date. Cheers for the heads-up, as always.

Dewinged
05.19.21
I think Monster Magnet is a covers album

Project
05.19.21
Genre: Black Metal/Cthulu, nice

Massively hyped for VOLA, will check 21P (nervously) and Autumn and probably...a bunch of other stuff, but mostly VOLA

RedRightHand

MercySeat
05.19.21

Scheumke
05.19.21
Yeah it's all about the VOLA for me too

Squiggly
05.19.21
This week I'm curious for Olivia Rodrigo, TOP, Lord Huron, Lambchop, Colleen and Gary Numan. Stacked week indeed.

Divaman
05.19.21
I'll check out Gary Numan and Lord Huron this week. And maybe Twenty One Pilots. (I didn't even know they had one coming out.)

LeddSledd
05.19.21
Genre: Cthulu

Purpl3Spartan
05.19.21
Terraria is the only thing that comes to my head when I hear Cthulhu. When the heck did a demonite-dropping boss become a music genre?

Gnocchi
05.19.21
Sure you guys pick up on that but you swept over Marvin Gaye....

zzf1918
05.20.21
The vola album is great!

Purpl3Spartan
05.20.21
Cool, i'm hyped for that album

nightbringer
05.20.21
VOLA and Olivia Rodrigo are my main stops.

Divaman
05.20.21
Marvin Gaye died in 1984. I'm a little suspicious of his new material.

Get Low
05.20.21
Olivia Rodrigo hype

nightbringer
05.20.21
good 4 u is such a bop.

SteakByrnes
05.20.21
good 4 u is very good and the only song I've liked from her so far, so I'm hoping the album has some more tracks that I like

botb
05.20.21
What exactly is an occult metal

gschwen
05.20.21
basically all the elements underneath hydrogen on the periodic table are occult metals

Purpl3Spartan
05.20.21
I give Olivia clout solely for the fact that she put in a bass solo at the beginning of Good 4 You

NorthernSkylark
05.21.21
LAMBCHOP!!!!! [2]

Get Low
05.21.21
Olivia Rodrigo is a girl who is sad, confirmed.

Purpl3Spartan
05.21.21
Haven't checked out the full album yet, but using the same lyrical theme without subtlety is getting on my nerves with the last three singles

Get Low
05.21.21
Yeah basically the whole album is like that. She's using the album as a coping mechanism for her heartbreak rather than expressing a grand artistic concept. Which is fine in my opinion, since she's only 18. She'll grow as an artist.

nightbringer
05.21.21
Sour is definitely kind of one-note thematically. But there's something quite authentic about that. Teenage heartbreak (or really, heartbreak at any age) tends to feel like all that matters at the time.

TheNotrap
05.22.21
The Lurch is a good jam
