"the only people that see it as a threat are the people who have trouble creating"
this being said by a guy who a) hasn't put out a real album of his own in like 25yrs and b) never wrote his own raps and even rumored to have had his beats ghost-produced is fucking hilarious

"the only people that see it as a threat are the people who have trouble creating"
I don't even understand how you begin to defend that statement. People who don't have trouble creating will create. People who do will get AI to do it for them. It makes no sense at all

it makes sense if you pretend you are a thin-skinned pampered dork who hasn't been told no in 3 decades

I hate how broad of a term AI is.
If you can trust your gut enough to keep putting out material, you don't need other examples made up of composites attempting to replicate your work.
If it's a different form of AI, don't refer to it by the same terminology as that which pillages and poses.
I imagine someone of Dre's caliber would be paid to be pro-AI. Since it's obviously controversial, why not provide examples? Wouldn't you be saving a whole bunch of people's asses?

not a fan of ai or dre's embrace of it, but show the goat some respect, man.

was any part of that statement wrong tho

“Dre compared the opposition to AI with the initial resistance encountered by drum machines and synthesizers.”
Implying those two didn’t also get abused over the last few decades of pop music.
Pick up a guitar.

long as theres transparency about what and how AI has been used on a production i dont see a huge problem with integrity, but definitely affects how i would feel about it artistically, maybe consumers will begin to value live performances over streaming services just because a live performance is authentically human except for like fuckin hologram tupacs dancing around LOL oh shit in 50 years live performances are just all going to be ai robots of dead artists like elvis doin a duet with eminem
