On March 31st Balmora dropped their single “Ophelia” off their upcoming album These Graven Halls. It’s the first song they’ve released with their new vocalist Paul Cole, who replaced Senti earlier this year. The track also features Brie Percy of the band Holder. Guitarist Jay Torblaa said of the single, “Ophelia is a story of betrayal, heartbreak, revenge, and forgiveness. It’s meant to highlight the nature of initial anger, action, and remorse in a hanging balance system.”

When asked about the record they said this, “Influences pull from the obvious like The Black Dahlia Murder and On Broken Wings to a mix of media, classical, and modern music - Requiem For A Dream, Silent Hill, Philip Glass, Bladee.”

“Ophelia”:

cant wait for this. sucks bad that senti left or was kicked out for whatever reason. But Paul is the best replacement they could've found. Also the artwork reminds me of cradle of filth

@shartharder

Definitely not how you're describing them lol if you're into early 2000s melodic metalcore (i.e. undying, Nehemiah, straightout) you'd be into it. They do have more slam oriented breakdown parts but idk about knocked loose
