Far from their best, but I'm just happy for new stuff from them
| |
It's...fine? I like some of the vocal flourishes, the synthesizers, and the heavier guitar parts. This still basically just sounds like BB 101 though.
That said, still better than what their active rock peers (Disturbed, Godsmack, 5FDP) have been putting out as of late.
| |
always the most generic titles with these guys
| |
banger
| |
I enjoyed it, even if it's not really anything different
| |
People actually like this band on here?
| |
good stuff. nothing revolutionary, but well performed
| |
Breaking Benjamin AND Three Days Grace back in the same month? What year is it?
| |
I like that they tried to expand their sound a bit on Ember. This is fine but it's soooo generically Breaking Benjamin almost like a parody of itself haha. That chorus in particular goddamn they didn't even try.
Still enjoyed it though, I like me some basic BB.
| |
Can't say they aren't consistent at least, after so many years. Track is decent I guess. Tho I don't have any reason to go back to their more recent material.
| |
Song is great
| |
Damn this actually rocks.
| |
Breaking edgeamin
| |
Rules
| |
Song absolutely rules, but tbf it'd be quite difficult for these guys to disappoint me
| |
Sounds like asking an AI music generator to write a good hard breaking Benjamin track. Extremely formulaic and nothing new but still pretty enjoyable and gets the head banging a bit, not much more you could expect of these guys at this point
| |
"Breaking Benjamin AND Three Days Grace back in the same month? What year is it?"
A bad one
| |
Loved "We Are Not Alone" and "Phobia". After that, they've kind of become a band that if anyone's ever bumping their older or recent stuff in their car/place/etc, I never mind and vibe to it. You know...one of those bands you don't go out of your way to listen to, but can't really complain if you're hearing them. This song kind of fits that bill too
| |
I wonder if these bands who seem to write the same sounding stuff for decades do so consciously to preserve their brand or if that's sort of all they're capable of writing or a bit of both?
| |
that’s a great question honestly because sometimes it’s baffling
| |
the vocal part at 3:18 really confused me, song was fine otherwise
| |
Phenomenal. Love these dudes, always have, and that chorus is it
| |
Absolutely love this song.
| |
Guilty pleasure band for sure. Song is good
| |
This is a step up from Ember definitely
| |
One of the only bands where I accept them just releasing the same album, over and over again.
| |
i like how Shinedown, Three Days Grace and Breaking Benjamin are basically the same band...
| |
It sounds like Breaking Benjamin, they’re nothing if not consistent. I really wish they’d expand a bit but I get it, why bother doing that when you can just pump out consistent radio rock and have it pay you enough to not work again for 6 years
| |
"That said, still better than what their active rock peers (Disturbed, Godsmack, 5FDP) have been putting out as of late."
name the worst 3 bands in hard rock/metal; I bet you can't
| |
Standing true to their standard. This is a good song. Can't wait to see this new album get 3.2'ed.
| |
Honestly feel like this is a little too by the numbers, even for them. Last album actually had some bangers I thought. Hopefully, they have a couple tracks on the level of psycho or tourniquet
| |
Sounds like every other song they've ever done. Not bad I guess but quite forgettable.
| |
I was gonna say this is one Breaking Benjamin-ass sounding song lol. Definitely guilty pleasure band. They make really compelling hooks and the dude's got a great voice.
| |
This basically sounds like it could fit comfortably on Ember. Not bad, but not anything too special either. Album will likely end up a 3/5.
| |
They're a consistent good to great band. Sometimes I yearn for simple riffs and hooks and they have always delivered that.
| |
This is not the comment you're looking for
| |
"the dude's got a great voice."
Idk, haven't found any live recording of him that I liked.
Also his screams are kinda annoying.
| |
Yeah this dude is definitely the definition of a studio singer. He sounds like complete ass live lol
| |
the most generic band of all time does it again
| |
so cold still slaps though
| |
yea that track is classic scoot
| |
also the video for polyamorous is unintentionally hilarious
ben makes some of the goofiest faces i've ever seen
| |
BB 101 ass song. And I dig it lol. They're like a comfort band for me, they just do the same shit over and over and it always sounds solid and I get some level of enjoyment out of it.
| |
^ precisely
| |
Zzzzzzz. Boring song boring band
| |
Song could be from their 2004 album I dug, which is also the last time I listened to these guys
| |
Yeah you could easily convince me this was something off Phobia. I dunno, something sort of comforting about a sound unshackled by present-day precepts and trends.
| |
>"Breaking Benjamin AND Three Days Grace back in the same month? What year is it?"
It's 2007 again baby, pop Halo 3 into your Xbox 360 and go back to being carefree and naive
| |
Love the first two albums. They became very meh but even then, his voice ruled. This isn't bad at all.
| |
another song to put on a 360 noscope montage
| |
