Rings of Saturn is transitioning towards a strictly instrumental direction which will open up many new doors in terms of musical creativity for the bands future. We are looking forward to exploring new territories of writing and expand on the band's overall sound in this way. Along with the recent instrumental album release versions of our past discography, every album since Dingir has traditionally included an instrumental track, so many fans will appreciate what’s coming next with a sense of familiarity. We would love to have Ian Bearer on any tours we currently have booked, but that decision remains ultimately up to him, and moving forward this also means that live shows will be done completely as an instrumental band. We would like to thank Ian Bearer for his years of hard work and commitment as the voice of the band during its most recent 10 years. On tour and in the studio, it has been an honor to create and perform music alongside such a great vocalist. We absolutely wish him the best in any endeavor he decides to pursue, and we hope that fans show him the same love and support as well. -
Joel Omans & Lucas Mann

|
| |
I liked the instrumental versions better anyway
|
| |
hahahahaha
|

|
| |
What was the deal with Lucas trying to call out Nuclear Blast anyway
|
| |
Why can’t they just pro tool some vocals?
|
| |
nice now just drop the guitars and drums! Bazinga!
|
| |
They still haven’t addressed the getting dropped by NB which means that they were right with what they said when the dropped them.
|
| |
I heard the whole NB thing is because Lucas is upset that Interloper is on the label too

This band has always been terrible

I've grown to love this band, discovered them around the time this album released - And I heavily disagree with everyone's statements about this album being a "Wankfest"....BRAINDRILL is a wankfest, VIRAEMIA is a wankfest, MONUMENTAL TORMENT is a wankfest...and it still doesnt make them any less talented than other artists just because they prefer to shred more than 50% of every song...It just doesnt appeal to your tastes. Rings Of Saturn (at the very least) have parts that slow down and become intelligible...
I always get a big kick out of hearing people talk about guitar tone when they obviously dont know all that much about it to begin with. If you do in fact think the guitar sounds like shit, then take some time to look into a device called a harmonizer - It puts his automatic harmonies above the 27th Fret, so technically they're impossible to actually play. Which may account for that inhuman/almost fake sound.
Then again - I must admit that I am biased on my opinions of this band - I play bass for them hahahahah XD

ive been waiting for this since ultu ulla thank fuckin god

“band has always been terrible” [2]

Band is fucking awesome. Unfortunately Lucas seems determined to ruin any amount of goodwill toward him and his project. Their shows have been getting less and less interesting, despite how awesome it is to see them play the shit live, and I can't imagine it being remotely worth seeing if it's just two guitarists playing along with the records (which it already practically was, but Ian Bearer added a lot of stage presence). Hell, Lucas stopped even bothering to come to shows for ages, so, maybe at some point it'll just be whatever poor second guitarist is left, playing alone with the laptop. I feel pretty bad for everyone who's invested time and work into this project just for it to turn out like this.
|
| |
12 years in an they're already approaching Santana levels of past members.
|
| |
I saw these guys open for Decapitated once, lmao.
|
| |
lucas is insanely talented but a complete cunt
|
| |
Good to see it’s going badly for them.
|
| |
More insufferable band mastermind, Lucas Mann or Michael Keene?
|
| |
first two albums were fun back in the day but slept on them since. i did hear 'ultu ulla' and biggest impression it made on me was the vocals feeling like a desperate after thought, i'm surprised he stuck around so long
personally i'd rather hang out with keene, dudes got flaws but doesn't get called a fake manipulator annually. worst thing i can say about mann is i've only ever heard him talk about himself/if he's 'real'
|
| |
the guy from the haarp machine is also insufferable
|
| |
Lmao "vocalist"
|
| |
lmao I want a Al Mu'min / Michael Keene / Lucas Mann supergroup
|
| |
They’d kill each other in less than a week.
|
| |
with jerry seinfeld on vocals
