Digging: PVRIS - Use Me
that was catchy af
Digging: The Front Bottoms - In Sickness & In Flames
enter shikari has been playing way too much assassins creed
These guys are consistent a f.
this is trash
It's ok. Like the concept but doesn't immediately amaze me probably because of how jarring the the switch from the verse to chorus is
I've always been confused about what type of music fans these guys appeal to. To me they've always sounded like a bunch of interesting ideas thrown wall but none of those ideas particularly hit or cohere well.
Fun stuff as always. Have to give credit for always switching it up - one of those bands which really kill it live too
Another fun track. Love these guys to bits
Digging: Pain of Salvation - Panther
They appeal to people who like attitude, catchy choruses, rock riffs and dance music. It's not exactly niche.
Digging: Everything Everything - RE-ANIMATOR
Absolutely stoked for a new album and more importantly.... New tour!
yeah this is great, can't wait for the new record
Digging: Movements - No Good Left To Give
fantastic as always, glad they’re going a heavier route than The Spark, album cover makes me think vaporwave influences?
way better than the spark, hopefully that was just a momentary hiccup
Digging: THIS ARROW IS IN MY ASSOHLE - ARE YOU GOING TO GET IT OUT OR WILL I HAVE TO UNLEASH UZIBUNGA'S WOLFES ON
But... The Spark is so good though
Yea, The Spark was very good
Sweet baby ray this SLAPS.
Excited for the new album! Might put it on my AOTY list if the other tracks sound as good as this one or even better.
The Spark was incredible
great song from a band I’ve never really enjoyed
Still remember the first time I saw these live. Brilliant
This sounds promising.
The Spark was good, but in my opinion it's defintiely the "worst" one from them.. I wouldn't mind them going back to the harder sound found on The Mindsweep
I love the heavy distortion on the instrumentation
Never listened to these guys. Chorus sounds like something off Amo.
how dare you
This sounds nothing like Amo lol
I think I get what they tried to do with the album cover but it's just too much. Song is really solid.
Ye that was fun.
Digging: Napalm Death - Throes of Joy in the Jaws of Defeatism
i stan. also hyped for the inevitable tour fck yeah
This is dramatically better than anything on The Spark. Super stoked for this album since I absolutely love their first 4.
Sput's love for this band baffles me, perhaps more than any other. I find the majority of their work cringe-inducingly bad, and this is no exception.
Digging: Two People - Second Body
I was surprised of the many positive comments here, because as far as I remember sput hates this band lul
Not bad, not that amazing tbh
Spark and Common Dreads are terrible. Mindsweep is surprisingly okay.
"Sput's love for this band baffles me, perhaps more than any other. I find the majority of their work cringe-inducingly bad, and this is no exception."
xSPONGEXCOREx How Tough Are Yah?
These jokers are still around?
Feel like these guys have 10 albums by now
Digging: Skeletal Remains - The Entombment of Chaos
Song rips! Will always have a soft spot for Shikari
Haven't listened to this yet, but this is a band that I have a soft spot for and I don't really understand why.
the verse > chorus but enjoyable song
I don't know why, but i really like this guys. They are great live, that helps.
They are pretty great live. Although i haven't seen them since they toured after they released The Mindsweep
xSPONGEXCOREx How Tough Are Yah?"
ooh it's been a while since we had a good ratings joke. Not gonna feel bad about getting called out for a 5 for a great joke album
its pretty bad even as joke albums go
"Never listened to these guys. Chorus sounds like something off Amo."
Even by the standards of Shikari threads, that's a pretty fking zoomer comment lmao
Digging: ZOMBIE-CHANG - TAKE ME AWAY FROM TOKYO
"They are pretty great live. Although i haven't seen them since they toured after they released The Mindsweep"
I saw them on The Spark tour and can confirm they still JAM.
I HATE THIS ALBUM COVER. Song is tight though.
Their live shows are an emotional experience.
Ngl this slaps hard
Digging: Underoath - Define the Great Line
Some dayz of listening and the song still rules. I'm getting ready for new stuff, listening to their live albums in the meantime
Also a song under 3 minutes, they don't have too many of them. Noice.
Yeah I really like this, feels like a relatively focussed song for them, and it doesn't have the total garbage production anything of The Spark did. It's catchy too
