Pop-punk/Metalcore outfit A Day to Remember have released a new single "Degenerates", not long after their signing with Fueled By Ramen. It isn't confirmed if this is a standalone single or part of an upcoming album.

Fueled by Ramen? Really? Can't quite listen to the song yet finishing up at work. I have about four different ideas about how this can turn out.

it's throwaway pop-punk cheesy bullshit, and it's also proof that FBR force bands to change to a sound that fits with the rest of their roster

The song they made with Marshmello is somehow better than this garbage.

jesus christ, the marshmello song is leagues better. i hope to god this is a stand alone single but since they are signed to FBR, i expect nothing short of mediocrity

i mean nothing marshmello has done is bad, it's just hella generic and derivative (mostly of himself tho tbh)

Also, it just hit me they signed with fucking Fueled By Ramen... didn't these guys start their own label awhile back and were self releasing stuff?

skimmed some comments on facebook in regards to this song, apparently this is the sound they wanted since they started but couldn't do since Ocala is a "hardcore city" meaning they had to include the breakdowns to be noticed. sounds weird but was mentioned in an interview according to a "top fan" on the page /shrug

Wow. This is a new level of me despising FBR. The only band that made a good debut on that label and not sell out (yet) is Basement.

It's ok. The whirring keys are a little annoying but honestly this is just ADTR without breakdowns and slightly more processed vox

I couldn't finish it. I personally thought Homesick would be their low point forever, but if this is what the new album sounds like, then it might just take the proverbial shit cake.

Song is fine, but nothing special. They've done the pop-centric sound better, but this isn't their worst song. I'll probably still check their new album for nostalgia purposes if nothing else.

This is absolute hogwash. What Separates from 2010 was their poppiest album and they've gotten heavier with each release since whilst self-releasing everything. They could have easily played nothing but pop-punk for the better part of the past decade.

Personally I felt Bad Vibrations was their weakest album. This song is fine. Reminds me of 'It's Complicated'. Looking forward to seeing what the next full length is like.
