lol this is so bad
|
| |
This will be the only good song on the album.
|
| |
I'm a little undecided on this song, it's got some neat riffs on it but it's not on the level of songs like "Goddamn I'm Dead Again" on 13 Voices, which is where I'd like them to be at nowadays (cos we know they're not gonna reach Chuck levels again).
|
| |
They’re just out to make shitty music
|
| |
these dudes went hard when i was 12
but that was 16 years ago boys it’s time to hang up the skates
fun fact: steve-o became a realtor
|
| |
yea credit where credit is due they went hard as fuck in middle school
|
| |
The Hell Song still owns to this day. This, not so much.
|
| |
Damn, growing up sure is hard. Brownsound can still shred though.
|
| |
ngl this slapped a lot harder than i thought it was going to
|
| |
Does This Look Infected? will always rule
|
| |
tbh it’s kind of hypocritical to shit on this and love comeback kid
|
| |
Eh I really liked it. It’s anthemic and catchy, which is what I look for in these guys.
|
| |
literally a fucking 3rd grader could write this dogshit ass song.
if you like this your music opinion card is revoked for life because you like baby riffs
|
| |
At least Sum 41 being active keeps Derryck occupied and healthy. And I can get behind that.
|
| |
not terrible on the modern sum 41 scale
but yeah these dudes need to call it a career
|
| |
Thought the solo was pretty good but the song is bleh overall
|
| |
If you HATE this song, you never liked Sum 41 and are just here to be an asshole.
|
| |
Hopefully the rest of the album is better, but I doubt it.
|
| |
I disliked the electronics, some lyrics, and some of Deryck's vocals. Other than that, it's a good song. I just hope that the other songs have stronger structures like "The Hell Song", "Over my head", and "No reason".
DTLI and Chuck are their best albums because of the emotional lyrics and strong instrumentals.
I wanna hear that good shit again sum 41 come on.
|
| |
^all killer no filler the best sum 41 tho
|
| |
Ayee! Thanks for reminding me of that record. I loved all killer no filler too.
Hopefully Order in Decline has a variety of tracks that sound like their classic songs. (fingers crossed)
|
| |
'fun fact: steve-o became a realtor'
lol yeah I was on Sum 41's wiki page and I went down the rabbit hole and found this out. Pretty funny.
|
| |
First three albums all rule, and this sounds essentially just like something from Does This Look Infected? so I am happy.
"If you HATE this song, you never liked Sum 41 and are just here to be an asshole."

|
| |
nah first three are alright this just chugs balls
|
| |
"DTLI and Chuck are their best albums because of the emotional lyrics and strong instrumentals. I wanna hear that good shit again sum 41 come on." [2]

" but yeah these dudes need to call it a career "
I mean I'd literally just said why it's a good thing they're still going.
|
| |
They still know how to write catchy songs. Must revisit their discography.
|
| |
Song needs to be cut down to just 2:15 to 2:50
|
| |
“If you HATE this song, you never liked Sum 41 and are just here to be an asshole.“
nah torts doesn’t actually think that, he’s just full of hot air because I publicly called out a shitty weedmo frontman who he happens to be buddy buddy with
|
| |
what you say has no weight on me whatsoever, I just wanna bully you until you off yourself cause I know you hate your life
and this song is bad regardless
|
| |
how mad
are you tho
4 real
|
| |
The old Sum 41 was awesome, I mean maybe if I was still in early 20’s or even in high school. I’d love this song but yeah they’re time has come and gone.. and I’m usually a sucker for nostalgia but this is not that good unfortunately
|
| |
Song isn't bad at all. The video is mid 2000s corny as fuck though.
|
| |
^^Their videos have always been terrible from what I remember. But this sounds like old sum 41 and from what I heard their last album isn't bad. Haven't listened to these guys since I was in high school and that was over 15 years ago. It's a good time to revisit.
|
| |
^ how dare you. We're All to Blame's music video is the goat

"Their videos have always been terrible from what I remember."
Get the fucking fuck out. In Too Deep is one of the best videos of all time.
|
| |
Their videos are legendary. Fuck you talking about??
|
| |
Song is okay. I don't think anything's gonna top Chuck for me tho.
"At least Sum 41 being active keeps Derryck occupied and healthy. And I can get behind that."
[2] Dude was looking ROUGH not too long ago so I'm hella glad he's doing better.
|
| |
It's great to see Deryck looking great after he almost died from alcohol poisoning, but this song is just boring. This is Sum 41 on autopilot. I'm hoping the rest of the album makes up for it.
|
| |
Yeah I agree the music could be better, and I was hoping that Brownsound's presence would help (as it got them back on track on 13 Voices) but it hasn't quite worked that way yet. But I'm not going to go and say they should call it quits, because it's got Deryck healthy and if the band goes, I'd be worried about what he'd do because when they went inactive from 2012-2015 he REALLY went downhill fast.

I remember Deryck saying in an interview that he always felt self conscious about his writing with Brownsound, like every riff he wrote needed Dave’s approval first. Dave has zero writing credits on the last album, so here’s hoping they found a way to write together that’s satisfying in a way for everyone this time around. They’re describing this new record as their heaviest and most aggressive to date so I’ll remain cautiously optimistic for something akin to DTLI?/Chuck
|
| |
Hoping for that heavy punk sound too.
This song is a grower though. It's very good. The bass sounds awesome.
