Chimp Spanner announces return 2018-11-23 by amateur grammar vigilante woodtouching over the sanctity of what things are *supposed* to mean | 13 Comments | Progressive metal auteur and djent prodjenitor Paul Antonio Ortiz has announced that there's a new Chimp Spanner album in the works with a release planned for sometime in 2019.
Chimp Spanner, Ortiz' seminal solo instrumental djent project, has been inactive since the release of the All Roads Lead Here EP in 2012, during which time Ortiz has focused on production work and released a synthwave album with Dan Tompkins, of TesseracT, under the moniker Zeta.
However, through Soundcloud and Facebook, Ortiz released a demo of the song, "Aurora" and announced that it will be a part of the new Chimp Spanner album.
