fuck yeah this rules, these guys never disappoint
| |
song was pretty decent, excited as usual!
| |
song was okay but holy shit a song with tomi joutsen?? yes daddy
| |
excited to jam
| |
Verkligheten translates to "reality," per Google Translate
song is ok, definitely not Spectrum of Eternity-tier, but I'm still psyched for new Soilwork
| |
Tomi, fuck yeah.
| |
Crazy to think this will be their 11th studio album. Also hyped for the Tomi feature on this.
| |
Good god that artwork is nice. And yeah this song slaps. Looks like lightning's gonna strike thrice.
| |
damn they got a wolvish Thin Lizzy cover on this. will def check
| |
Solid track
Album will kick ass
| |
Album will kick ass [2]
| |
Man those muted shades of pink and gold look so pleasing together
| |
could be a Mastodon cover tbh
| |
Ah truuue, good eye
| |
yeah art is sick
| |
H Y P E
| |
ok yea song rules
| |
These guys have been on quite the streak. This is a great track and I assume it will be another great album.
| |
Not totally in love with the song on first listen but didn't hate it either.
| |
This feels like a step down from Living Infinite and Ride Majestic but here's hoping that hot streak isn't broken
| |
mix sounds fantastic!
| |
Thursgaard a worthy replacement for Dirk
| |
Amazing vocals. Guitar riffs sound epic!
| |
Very excited! Cover art is amazing also.
| |
Album will deliver the goods.
| |
gotta love the black metal influences they put into this, not to mention there seems to be more emphasis on the keys this time around which is something they said they would be doing on this record
| |
Everything sounds practically like on Ride. This song is a tiny bit weaker, but it's still tons of fun. Lovin' it
| |
Damn Soilwork is on a fuckin' roll. This rules.
| |
Yoooooooooo
| |
well the production is at least a bit better than TRM
good song, but the drums definitely aren't as good as Dirk's
| |
Sweet artwork.
| |
Damn good stuff. The tour in the new year with Amorphis is going to be awesome.
| |
Haven't listened to these guys in a while, they still got it.
| |
As a swede, I can confirm that the album title simply translates to "Reality". Song is actually great, haven't listened to these guys in years, but they're still killing it.
| |
good stuff, stoked
| |
sounds pretty good!
| |
its alright i guess, not really used to their crazy brand of metal lately.
| |
this is what melodic metalcore should sound like. Great track.
| |
Dirk is gone!? Shit! I'll be checking this out, anyway. I expect a good muches from Soilwork.
| |
melodic metalcore?
| |
Cool song, miss Dirk but still pumped
| |
He was just the drummer though, not like it matters that much who it is. I might sound ignorant, but in a genre like this, I don't think the drumming is a big deal
| |
honestly to me on this song it's like Dirk never left
| |
pretty much
| |
yes bitch soilwork is back1!!!!
| |
I feel like I’m the only person here that’s never really jammed this band.
| |
Their first four albums slay. Check them out
| |
and their last 2
| |
and a few in between
| |
Last 2 are miles ahead of the rest imo
| |
Hmm
| |
Good way to start 2019.
| |
Last 2 are miles ahead of the rest imo [3]
| |
Drums on that track were killer btw.
| |
"Last 2 are miles ahead of the rest imo"
idk if I'd say miles ahead, Predator's Portrait and Natural Born Chaos are both fucking great
| |
yeah predator's portrait is still best soilwork
| |
lol not even close
| |
Everything by this band is pretty good, except for STAGD. Also, FNF and STD are pretty selloutish and radio friendly, but they've been playing blast beats like there's no tomorrow so they visibly demonstrate how it's possible to rebound from mediocrity. Unlike In Flames, lol
| |
Mallcore Soilwork was better than mallcore In Flames anyway.
| |
Some of Soilwork's "sellout" stuff is still good honestly. I was always a fan of STD even if it was different/not as good as what came before it.
"yeah predator's portrait is still best soilwork"
^Agreed
| |
ayyyyyy sure love me some STD 😏
| |
Chainheart Machine still reigns supreme imo
| |
true
| |
the last one is my favorite dunno
| |
Chainheart machine is a muddled aggressive mess with a few good ideas. A Predators Portrait on the other hand is a badass melodeath masterpiece
| |
reroute to remain, soundtrack to your escape, come clarity and the mirror's truth ep are light years better than everything from figure number 5 to the panic broadcast
| |
fnf rules tho
| |
fnf is solid
| |
agreed with alamo
| |
I like Stabbing best from the lesser albums
| |
"Chainheart machine is a muddled aggressive mess with a few good ideas. A Predators Portrait on the other hand is a badass melodeath masterpiece"
...
| |
Yeah that's just ridiculous. The Chainheart Machine is anything but a "muddled aggressive mess with a few good ideas". It's every bit as good as A Predator's Portrait. I'd give a slight edge to the latter just because it was the first Soilwork I heard but yeah, Chainheart slays.
And I'd definitely take any of Soilwork's weaker albums over post-Clayman In Flames. Plus Strid just has way better vocals.
| |
Agreed. Chainheart Machine is certainly up there with last two for me. Its aggressive nature makes it awesome
| |
Cool, these guys are top tier melodeath.
| |
Brilliant as usual!
| |
Listening to this again and my initial disappointment has faded. Song bangs pretty hard.
| |
Sucks imo
| |
