Obviously better than anything else released for this so far, but definitely not great. Passable. And is this the second song from this album that has a middle finger raised lyric? C’mon Rob.
| |
He says it on every record dude.
| |
That intro...what were they thinking
| |
robb flynn turned into a cringiest man in metal
| |
lmao that thumbnail
| |
Has a couple of solid riffs but Robb's vocals are getting so try-hard. The music video looks like some rejected footage shot for a shitty mid-90's euro-dance band.
| |
that intro is bad and the lyrics are lol but it's got a good chorus
| |
Is this the same band that wrote The Blackening?
| |
Man...those strings arrangements near the end seemed so forced.
| |
ehhh still waiting for one quality song from this record
| |
lol, awful
| |
The Whitening
| |
Improves as it goes on (not a fan of the intro), I like the soft part @ 2:49 -3:13. It's better than Bastards and Beyond the pale but for me the title track is the best of the new tracks so far.
| |
"They went from Ice Cream Truck Metal on the last single to If You're Happy And You Know It (Clap Your Hands) Metal with this one. Congratufuckinglations, Robb."
lmao
| |
The riffs in the chorus are pure metalcore.
| |
All the songs so far have sucked. Going to check this out.
| |
o shit.
middle finger raised bitch!, oh yeah, nu-metal for life!! hell yeah. Gonna cut off the sleeves of all my t shirts and get a tribal tat and some piercing as well (maybe nipples, to be frank about it)
Disagree with my fashion choices? ok, i'll write songs about the persecution, bitch!
God damn i'm pissed! this world!@ so unfair man!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
| |
Has he ever written a song where he doesn't mention middle fingers
| |
LMAO this shit is hilarious
| |
I mean props for trying different things even if they tend to be ass.
Lyrics are pretty terrible agreed
| |
Yeah, I really like this now. It's hilarious in a corey feldman-esque way.
| |
hand claps, middle finger raised, and rhyming truck with fuck all within the first 20 seconds.
is this a parody song?
| |
If you got your middle finger raised clap your hands
If you got your middle finger raised clap your hands
If you got your middle finger raised and you also saying FUCK YOU
If you got your middle finger raised clap your hands
| |
I'm one of those guys who like The Burning Red and Supercharger, but com'on Rob.. even you must know this is not good in this times.. how can you go from The Blackening to this?
| |
I can't figure out how I feel about this song. It has elements that are laughably bad but it also has elements that work for a few brief moments. Either way, I swear these guys are trying to burn the good will they achieved with Ashes onward.
| |
I feel like at least one song on the album should have lyrics like this: ''What did you say punk? Smack you around bitch! don't you dare disrespect!!!'' or something similar.
| |
I am gonna... sit this one out.
| |
the chorus sounds like it was ripped from a pop punk band and Rob's just too proud to admit it, even though his vox can't keep up with all the chord changes.
| |
Chorus is the only redeeming thing about this shitpile.
| |
Greatest intro ever! Lol
| |
Never got into these guys
I think I'll keep it that way
| |
Jesus christ what is that video
| |
MIDDLE FINGERS IN THE AIR BOIS
| |
I'm still beyond impressed by that intro
| |
Yeah yeah we know Rob was in on it, but who the hell was the producer for this album?
| |
Rob
| |
Well shit...
| |
Don tauch meh mutherFUCKer
| |
I really thought Nuclear Blast had standards lol, maybe MH is too big a name for them to be like "we aren't selling this shit".
| |
nuclear blast had standards lol good one
| |
"Robb Flynn is the Tommy Wiseau of metal"
well Rob actually came out with quality content for the most part.
@bloc Rob's been producing MH's albums since Ashes.
| |
Hmm, then I shouldn't complain too much. I enjoyed Locust a lot
| |
their last four albums were ace tbh
| |
Yeah, not sure what happened, but tbf it's been more than 3 years since their last one.
| |
Though that does seem to be their typical incubation period anyways
| |
@ 0:45
He's so tall, and handsome as hell
He's so bad but he does it so well
can't unhear the taylor swift in that rhythm lmao
| |
holy shit what is this
it's so bad
| |
This band should cease to exist now
Pure fucking tripe
| |
Take away Rob's lame ass fucking lyrics and this is actually alright.
| |
Except the fapping in the beginning, that needs to go as well
| |
Something else I noticed recently: The chorus is definitely influenced by BMTH's Sempiternal album.
| |
"I really thought Nuclear Blast had standards lol, maybe MH is too big a name for them to be like "we aren't selling this shit"."
Some people might want to point out Surgical Meth Machine. But at the same time, I wouldn't because it's pretty clear Al was just out to piss people off with that album and I prefer to believe Nuclear Blast were in on the joke, hence all the videos they posted about it at the time.
| |
My goodness, just checked that. Yeah I think NB went with it.
| |
I'll stick to "Burn My Eyes" when I wanna reminisce of the good ole times.
| |
I'll take "Burn My Eyes" literally the next time someone shows me this video
| |
OK so, so far we have:
Beyond the Pale (Strapping Young Lad - Love?)
Bastards (any folk-punk song e.g. The Pogues or something)
Kaleidoscope (something from Bring Me the Horizon - Sempiternal)
Volatile (Chimaira - Cleansation)
| |
don't forget the title track
| |
I can't remember what it sounds like so will have to re-listen later
| |
Well it's 1am here so I now have the album, listening through it and writing up a review purely based on first listen.
| |
This song is terrible, it doesn't even sound like Triple Beam. In fact the rest of the album doesn't either for some reason.
| |
is the new album called "Cringe My Eyes"?
| |
I'm ready for the slam-poetry MH album.
| |
It's actually alright overall, but this blows yeah
| |
yeah this song blows, one of the worst on the album. why they chose this as a single is beyond me, this song lost me at 'put your middle fingers in the air'.
| |
Robb is reminiscing the 70's it seems
| |
This song would actually be pretty catchy if Robb wasn't basically singing 'my love for you is like a truck, berserker'
| |
What the fuck was that lol
| |
