They have completely run out of steam now.

Last song was way better. Hopefully this single is indicative of the entire album.
|
| |
every song sounds the same and that's not a good thing btw
|
| |
Pretty boring, and this is coming from someone who really hasn't minded anything they've done up to this point. Some guitar parts of this song were ripped straight out of 'Lola Montez' from the last album (which may just be one of my favorite Volbeat songs, but they didn't even rip the good parts LOL).
They're past their prime at this point, but if I can pull one or two gems out of this new album, I'll be happy.

"powerhouse"
boyyyyyyy if you ain getcho stupit ass rite up on outa her I sweata GOD

It's sooooo boring . The same formula , same riffs , same same same . Usually I say that if you're doing it right do not change anything , but in VOLBEAT 's case I think they really need to do something different .

It does sound a lot like Lola Montez.

Hoping the album picks up, form what I have heard it seems quite generic. I miss Guitar Gangsters sound.
|
| |
sounds like all of their other music. some 2004 bargain bin shit
|
| |
"Metal powerhouse", right...
|
| |
Their first few albums were so damn good, I wish they would go back to that sound.
|
| |
not familiar with all the shit this band has done but damn this is cringeworthy
|
| |
The first two albums were amazing and then the next two were solid as well. Even though those albums had some cringeworthy parts, they were in most part offset by some m/ heavy riffs.

Their first album is a classic to me, perfecting melded that heavy metal/country 50s sound. Hell even their poppier stuff on beyond heaven above hell or whatever was awesome. Seems that was their swan song though.
|
| |
wow you'd think such a consistantly mediocre band would have given up by now
|
| |
The album title almost made me burst out laughing, on the plus side... Gotta love it.
