2014-08-12 by jefflebowski | 15 Comments
Instrumental hip-hop titan DJ Shadow has released his first new music since 2011's The
Less You Know, The Better
in the form of the three-track EP Liquid Amber.

Consisting of two new songs, 'Ghost Town' and 'Mob', as well as a Machinedrum remix of Private Press cut 'Six Days', Shadow commented that the songs "represent the forward steps I feel I've taken as an engineer".

second half of Ghost Town reminds me of the vibe found on Ed Harrison's NeoTokyo

It's only natural that that happens to hugely influential artists.

i like the remix. his original stuff is not his best. tough to stay fresh 20 years after making in/flux, a song that spawned a genre and 18 years after endtroducing.., the best album of its kind.

i'm sure josh has at least a few more bangerz in him tho
