Best song released by anyone this year. Well, top 3, at least.
| |
so good
| |
couldn't get into Solace at all but this track was good
| |
I haven't even listened yet but I know it'll be perfect.
| |
Yeah. Definitely gonna be one of the albums of the year, without a doubt. Totally well worth the wait. I've always loved their tone, it's so unique.
| |
anyone know where I could hitch jakob's solace zip?
| |
Definitely gonna be one of the albums of the year
| |

| |
I like it.
| |

| |
This is awesome
| |
Best heavy section they've written I think. Amazing song
| |
Oh, it's at metalsucks. Fucking Axl.
| |
that artwork is seriously one of the best i've seen in a long time
also song is fucking dope, this one's got some real aoty potential
| |
holy damn that track
| |
yea the heavy section is very TOOLish that's why it's good
| |
the drumming has definitely not staggered in quality either. Fantastic song
| |
I get a little Tool out of it but there's definitely much more. Great song.
| |
ok song. cool, probably another jakob album i won't be able to get into.
| |
super sexy song
| |
ok song. cool, probably another jakob album i won't be able to get into.
You aren't the first to say this. What is so inaccessible about Jakob?
| |
dig the artwork
| |
Haha fuck you.
If they can keep up the quality of the first song we got some AOTY shit incoming.
| |
>"AOTY granted to a proggy post-rock album that goes nowhere and achieves nothing of worth"
>5.0 classic
Kayo Dot Blue Lambency Downward
| |
blue lambency is dull as hell tho
| |
Ughhh
| |
i've heard all their full-length albums and rated every one of them except for blue lambency, which i need to digest more (now it's around a 2.5). but yeah, choirs and hubardo are their most accessible ones and also the only ones i've been able to fall in love with
| |
"Blue > Dowsing > Gamma > Coyote > Choirs > Hubardo."
you're trying far too hard.
also: Coyote>Hubardo>Dowsing>Blue=Choirs>Gamma
| |
lol snorlax you fucking earthworm get the fuck out of here
| |
idk what you're smoking, Snox, but whatever it is I'm gonna stay the fuck away from it
| |
Blue Lambency Downward is a wonderful experimental chamber-jazz/rock/etc. album that experiments heavily with unique forms and subtle climaxes...I don't see what that has to do with Jakob putting out another bland post-rock song that goes all twinkly and then all BWWOOOAAAARRRRRRR whilst still remaining pretty and then ending pretty again.
lmao you could boil any song down to that kind of simplicity if you wanted to
besides that, it's not structure that makes this song so great - it's the layering of the guitar effects and the unique tone that jakob has. plus the great drumming, and i find their style of melody really evocative.
| |
in terms of technicality maybe but i think they subtly keep the momentum going really well
idk, everything just melds together well and i find their sound to be really powerful, i mean solace is my favorite album of all time
| |
bump coz new song!!

| |

| |
