Caustic Window LP sells for $46,300 2014-06-25 by PostMesmeric | 13 Comments | After 100 bids on eBay, an extremely rare physical copy of the unreleased Caustic Window LP was auctioned off to none other than Markus "Notch" Persson, best known as
the creator of the gaming phenomenon Minecraft. Persson spent $46,300 on the vinyl copy.
Before the news broke, Persson posted a cryptic tweet on his Twitter page reading: "So I kinda paid a lot for a double LP from the '90s.."
Caustic Window was one of the aliases of electronic artist Aphex Twin. The LP recently earned digital release through its successful Kickstarter campaign, where more than 4000
people (all of which donated $16 or more to the campaign) were given digital copies. The album was also uploaded for streaming on Youtube later that week.
