RATM Deny SXSW Rumours

2007-03-15 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 19 Comments
Rumours have begun circulating that last night's "Tom Morello & Friends" performance at Austin's South By Southwest Festival was, in fact, the first Rage Against The Machine show in five years.

The group officially announced their temporary reunion earlier this year for April's Coachella festival and three dates of the Rock The Bells festival tour this summer.

Update: According to MTV.com, Tom was in Los Angeles last night and could not possible have performed last night, with or without the band. He will, however, be performing Thursday night as The Nightwatchman, his protest-singer alter-ego.

I love Rage! that would be so sick if they got back together.

And DirtyS4nch3z, the reason why renegades sucked wa because it was all covers.

they're going to SF yes!!! Rage gives a pretty hardcore show....my brother went to one before they broke up and he had to hold on the barrier in the front of the mosh pit to stop from being pulled in and his friend got swept away in the crowd...when he found his friend after the show he had two holes in his shirt.

Renegades was really good considering it was a CD of all cover songs. They are too good of musicians to not make good music. I've heard some of Zach's solo stuff with different DJs over the past few years and it's really good. Tom, Brad, and Tim work brilliantly together. If they make new music and release it then it will be good. They are Harvard graduates for God sakes.

I already made up my mind that they are reuniting, nobody can tell me otherwise. Idc what cd they put out next it will probably be just as good as their other albums (except self titled thats simply amazing)
