that sounded weird
| |
i don't know how i feel about this.
I'm not digging it as much as I hoped I would.
| |
Goddamn, the vocals are way too loud in the mix. Instrumentally, it's better than their other released track, and kinda better than anything from In Dreams, in my opinion, but something just feels off about the tone of the instruments. The solo didn't fit too well, either, in my opinion. Of course, I am not at all a fan of those kinds of solos.
| |
nothing in the song really stood out, even after 3 listens. I think this album will be a bit of a letdown
| |
I thought it was pretty good for the most part
| |
After The Burial is usually pretty hit and miss for me. I haven't really dug more than two songs off the two previous albums; this however isn't bad at all.
| |
I enjoyed it.
| |
Good song but the production doesn't do it justice at ALL.
| |
production is so fucking terrible. that explosion bass drop sounded god awful and the overall mix is compressed to hell and back. song is decent, but the mix makes it unbearable.
| |
ow the vocals are so loud fuck
| |
Yeah I hope this is a low quality youtube version. Anthony is such a monster regardless though.
| |
solo rules
| |
i liked it better than the other song. but yeah it sounds mad compressed. don't know what these guys are doing with the production
| |
production is lol.
| |
This production is terrible. Yikes.
| |
This is what I hate the most. They're going back to their old sounds because the fans complained about something. This is so obviously forced to sound like the "old ATB". I thought In Dreams was rather average for them but at least they tried something new and did what they liked. And what you can hear on the 2 songs so far is lack of passion for music. They're soulless and boring, they're forced to follow the same old structure. Music should be written for yourself and contain what you believe in. Fans aren't the reflection of whether it's good or not, neither is it important whether the music is good or not. Write w/e you enjoy and have fun with it, anything else is forced and fake. Maybe I'm interpreting too much into this but it just fits for me. No one wants to hear this superficial shit.
| |
I've enjoyed both songs they put out... Just saying. And yeah the production isn't the best because it's self produced but in have heard lots worse. Also, After the Burial are pretty bass heavy. I've noticed a huge difference from my computer speakers to my car where I have a nice sub, it sounds sick in my car and a little bit compressed on computer speakers. nonetheless both songs will sound sick live. I know A Wolf Amongst Ravens is awesome live, seen them play it twice now.
| |
Damn this is pretty disappointing. Not much seems to be working. I think it's safe to say this new album will be their worst.
The vocalist definitely showed off his pipes on this though. Solo didn't really make sense in the context of the song, but by itself it's pretty good.
| |
still hoping the two songs they've released are some of the worse ones on the album
| |
Then why release these ones and not the others. Doesn't the band want to showcase their best songs now?
| |
"Yeah I hope this is a low quality youtube version. Anthony is such a monster regardless though."
Nah, they already released this on iTunes and the production sounds exactly the same
| |
production - sucks
groovy - yep
Verdict - ehhh it's neat
| |
This cant seriously be the final mix.
song is enjoyable though.
| |
I was expecting so much more but its still decent. I think the album's gotta be better then these last 2 singles. Hopefully.
| |
It's a shame the production is so awful. I like the song.
| |
The vocalist sounds awesome, but Jesus, he's so overpowering in this. I thought the other track had a much more even mix than this does. Too bad the other one is fairly uninteresting.
| |
Song is good but I'm hoping the new stuff will grow on me like In Dreams did. The vocals are a bit loud in the mix but everything else sounds pretty good. I like the production, sounds just like the Rareform re-lease.
| |
really liked a few songs on In Dreams, not really feeling this new material though
| |
The production on In Dreams is pretty sweet why the fuck couldn't they just do that again
| |
Sounded like a nice compromise between their last two albums. Though I agree that the vocals are a bit loud in the mix I still really liked this song even more than the last one they released.
| |
Yeah that sounded weird indeed...
| |
They need to leave that damn Axe FX alin. This mix and overal production is really bad. How can the sound of this track and the first single sound that different?!
| |
Was alright...not amazing, not awful.
Mix is fucking atrocious though.
| |
Yer the vocals are so unbelievably fucking unbalanced. I actually had to turn my speakers down immediately cuz it was quite literally ear-piercingly uncomfortable in parts.
Hopefully the album doesn't have an identical mix...
| |
wolves within
my ass
| |
Vocalist is a total beast, they just produce his voice poorly, on this AND on In Dreams. I've seen him live and he sounded great.
| |
production is so bad.. didn't like the song either..
| |
Song was meh and the vocalist is a beast much better than the first guy
| |
i hope youre kidding robotjesus. this dude has no range and he cant enunciate for shit. he sounds like every other metalcore vocalist
| |
Dude are you fucking deaf? No range? Lmfao. I'm not even going to bother responding to the rest of that comment.
| |
I always liked these guys they were fun to listen to.
