They are really fucking terrible now. They were never anything special but I had hoped the guitarist would expand on his more interesting material. Vocals are shit, guitar playing is shit, drums are boring. Well, gg Glass Cloud.

Yeah, they used too some pretty neat riffs. The Royal Thousand was pretty cool. It wasn't great but it was a lot better this is.

There's some very cool atmosphere going on here...but the mindless chugging is a little much.

9 string is pretty much the point where metal riffs start getting inaudible. waiting for the player who switches to 10-string.

Keep in mind that this is a 5 song EP, I really don't think that this is an indication of where the band is heading. The Royal Thousand was great in my opionion and these guys are very talented as musicians so I wouldn't believe that this is going to be on anything more than an EP. If anything I would put this on them attempting to draw in the dumbass scene kids who think chugging is talent.

this makes no sense why would a band waste money to do this?

I know all the guys in this band and DrKok2Puss is right, this is just going to be a really heavy EP but their third album is going to be a return to their original sound

Whatever the case, this EP is a waste of existence. Both songs released have been absolutely horrid. I
don't understand why they felt the need to make this move. They should have just gone right into the
next LP and built on what worked. Trial or not I'm not sure I want to go near them again after this.

The Royal Thousand is one of my favorite albums of 2012 (so I am kinda biased). I don't mind what I have heard of the album so far and given that it is an EP I don't place much clout in the changes in sound. However, if their sophomore album doesn't retain the melody and raw energy that made the debut great, I will lose faith in this band.
