These guys are friends with so many people I know but I've never checked them out just because they're pop punk. Guess I'll give it a go.
edit: listened. not my thing. oh well.

I paused Left & Leaving to listen to the acoustic song. My first thought was "oh shit I run into these people at shows a lot", and then felt regret for pausing The Weakerthans.

update: found their bandcamp. got 20 seconds in. shut it off. pop punk needs to die.

they're like Lemuria with bad new found glory parts plus the dude singer ruins it whenever he pops up.

That's the closest parallel I could come up with for her voice. I just really don't like this style of pop punk. I find it irksome. They play it well, but the fact it exists bothers me.

damn defend pop punk group making an appearance
|

Dang, thought you meant the smalls from Alberta in the 80s
|

It took me over an hour to get on this site. Also it's really weird when people recognize you and are just like yeah you're in that band I hate.
|
| |
what is this???
|

Could be worse. I get called out by random strangers who hate my band whenever I go to The Cobalt. At least here it's just by some old jackass who has a vendetta against pop punk bands post-2004. Shit is a lot weirder in real life.

Dannnnnng. We're actually playing with mixtapes at cobalt in 2 weeks. I prefer pop punk actually more along the lines of jabber or the haverchucks.
