Horrendous. I actually liked their first record too. Why highlight lyrics that sound like they were written by the Goths from South Park. Utter fail.

They filmed a music video for the song at the end of June. They said it would take 2 weeks to edit, so it should be coming soon.

I thought the consensus was this song was pretty good, now I see a bunch of people that really don't like it. I'm so conflicted because I insist on following public opinion.

This song isn't sexual in the slightest if you think it is well thats you. From the band though its about the pressures of being a signed recording/touring band. The label always just wants more: hits,cash,etc.... As many 10 Years songs do though the song has multiple meanings, we've all known a person thats tried to take advantage of us and use us for their own gain. The song can also be interpreted that way. 10 Years is my favorite band and I've been waiting for this album since they announced they were writing last May/June. For all the haters. 1. No one other than yourself is making you sit there and listen to the song. If you dont like them dont listen to it. Stop wasting your "precious" time and listen to what the hell it is you like. 2. "Shoot It Out" is a great song so is "Wasteland" and "Beautiful" all 3 first singles from their albums. I know people will disagree with this point just like anything else. But in my opinion the 2 previous first singles werent the best songs on the albums. Both were great songs, just as "Shoot It Out" is.

Ok im going to say this and then you can bash the shit out of me all you want. I have never really liked Tool, I like some of what I've heard from them but not enough to go out and buy a album of theirs. Maynards singing style to me also sounds weird (I've heard 3-4 songs by them he may actually sing in the many songs I havent heard) but from what I have heard he just seems to sing in a muffled voice. Now for those of you who have read this far let me say this. I am not bashing Tool in any way form or fashion. I know they have a cult fan following and have a impressive selection of songs. I respect them their a good band, just as 10 Years is. My point here being even though I dont like Tool in the slightest, I still respect the fact that they make great sounding music. To bash them or say they suck would be stupid. Music is first and foremost a very opinionated form of entertainment. There are those of you who will bash 10 Years regardless of what I or any other person says. 10 Years has mentioned on several different interviews, that they grew up listening to Tool, Metallica, Deftones and many others. So musical and lyrical influences from those bands are bound to happen. Yeah I know a few of you will say something along these lines. "Theres being influenced, then theres straight ripping off they suck!!" Along with many more interesting yet colorful varaitions of that. However they dont suck or fail just because you dont like them. To you yes they suck, but thats your opinion on music. Which just like my own opinion on music its completely wrong when out of context. To finally get to the point if any of you read this far. Bands will continue to fly out of the woodwork, were not going to like every single one of them. If you dont like the band go on with your life.
