If this is what they say it is, then I'll be happy. I don't want them to make another album like the last few, even if at least two of them were excellent.

As Daylight Dies with bonus tracks was better than End of Heartache imo.

If it really was more progressive than it might actually be good, except that I still wouldn't really like the vocals.

Saying As Daylight Dies is better than End of Heartache is like saying that eating baby puke is better than eating baby shit. What's the real difference when it comes down to it? Oh, but then you mention that Howard era is better than Jesse era and everything makes sense.

This is going to rule. I perfer Howard era more, slightly because the guitars are stronger and then some because Howard has an awesome voice/ stage presence/ metal personality.

Jesse has more passion and effort on stage, and he's better at screaming, but Howard has an awesome voice, when he chooses to use it correctly.

The only thing better about the Howard-era is the drumming.

And guitars.

Howard's vocals ruin the band. He sounds the same in every song. These albums would all be better if Jesse was on them.

This should be a solid album.

Jesse is just more interesting, Howard has a better voice, and Jesse is a brutal screamer.

Doubt it and na, Howard ruins the songs? Maybe when pigs start speaking spanish and take my farming job away from me. that last dvd of theirs is my favorite dvd of all time although I currently own four music DVD'S.

This will probably be an average metalcore album just like "Daylight Dies"

I'm looking forward to seeing what the album's like, will probably be generic and not very progressive, but it'll be worth a few listens. Oh and both The Leach and Jones eras have their merits.

I hope they make progression, but I do doubt it. At the very least, it'll be better than End of Heartache, even if I don't think it'll match up to Alive or Just Breathing.

man, i'm really hoping they ain't exaggerating when hey claim it will be more progressive.

and also, i kind of see a trend in the shitty-ness of self titled metal(core) albums. eg: Avenged Sevenfold, Bury Your Dead, etc.

So, they've got Mastodon's producer; and by the looks of that album artwork, they're trying to adopt Mastodon's marketing strategy as well. I wonder if this new, "progressive" Killswitch will sound like Mastodon, too?

Has anyone else noticed... they already HAVE an album titled "Killswitch Engage" and this is their fifth album... not their fourth. Killswitch #1, Alive or Just Breathing, End of Hearthache, As Daylight Dies, and Killswitch #2.

its because most bands want to get out of their genre or keep from being stuck with one sound, so theyre trying to be 'progressive'. what they dont know is that theyre just gonna get stuck in a different genre. only a few bands nowadays have really used the word progressive in their music
