Can´t wait to hear those songs.

Basically what he said^^
|
| |
Got a good feeling about this one, Robs gonna have a postive influence on the band.
|
| |
i read a report on the album, and it sounds like st anger part 2 is on its way.
*hopes against hope that's not true*
|
| |
Lol BassBeginner, Except the fact that everything that has come out of the studio has purposely suggested that they are NOT going to make another st Anger.
|
| |
if this is just a st anger part two, then i, like many others, will kick myself so hard.
|
| |
I'm looking forward to see what comes out after St. Anger. I have a feeling things will be better than the last album.
|
| |
Rick Rubin wouldn't let them make another St Anger, he's pretty good at knowing what the fans want. I think a modern day version of The Black Album might sound pretty good.
|
| |
Imagine this...
Spring 2007...no news on the album...when suddenly it leaks...
All you see in YSI is...StAngerII.rar
What do you do?
|
| |
1) Punch a hole in the fabric of reality and travel to an alternate universe where Sweden is the new America and In Flames are the new Metallica.
2) Say 'I told you so'
3) Wait vainly for Kirk's spoken-word album
4) Buy the album anyway
...all of the above, actually.
|
| |
^You do that.
Long way off eh, as long as its better than St Anger. This Message Edited On 06.06.06

pattern_recognition lol I have a good feeling about this album. Rick Rubin is a genius...if he can work his magic then good things are ahead.
|
| |
If this becomes St. Anger part 2, you all will no longer hear from me, seeing as how I will be located in an Mental Institution.
|
| |
well see...
|
| |
Well, since its comming from Kirk, I'll give it a chance. In that documentary, Kirk just sat there and didnt really have an opinion, and James and Lars thought they were making the best pile of shit ever.
|
| |
Maybe St. Anger II would give us a reason to invade Iran.
|
| |
lol...George Bush would be happy. And so would Green Day. It would give em stuff for their next album
|
| |
Lars said in an interview that they were working on riffs from *THE ST. ANGER PERIOD*..... so i dont believe any of that crap about it not being a st.anger 2. Heres whatll happen, bass will be better than st.anger (not hard to beat) but still nothing over-impressive itll probly be like jason on the black album. Lars wont stand out as much as he did on st. anger, simply because there is a bass player present. Kirkll have 10 sec. solos (something youd find on a godsmack cd). And James will try and be a *singer*
but Rick Ruban *is* producing, and any producer who made Reign in Blood is a good sign for any metal band. This Message Edited On 06.06.06

I'll respect the band if the record turns out better than Load, but I'm in doubt.
|
| |
why make songs that arent good.... i say throw all the songs on a 2-disc and let your fans decide....( hope the new cd is more thrasher metal and less black albumish
|
| |
That sentence didn't make sense.
|
| |
There gonna have to do alot to wash the bile left in my mouth from dry heaving after listening to St. Anger
|
| |
Id rather it sound like Slayer than St. Anger.
Every great rock band seems to have one bad album that they redeem themselves from with a later album, I can only hope that this will indeed redeem and forgive Metallica for that sin they call St. Anger.
|
| |
Did Kirk announce if hes going to play solos?

some of the things i like about metallica over slayer is that they have different depths, meaning they can go from a song like sad but true to a song like nothing else matters and then to wolf and man, and thats on all the records. Slayer is good if you want full blown metal in your face all the time but i like a little depth.
|
| |
Fart tick tick tick tick tick tick tock
|
| |
Hopefully it'll be good...if not...well there's other bands.
I'd love to see another "...And Justice For All" I loved that one :D
|
| |
Well I'm excited!
|
| |
It will definitely NOT be st. anger 2. It's gonna be awesome, no doubt
|
| |
hmm dont count on that.. i think its going to be alot like the black album...
|
| |
If you think this sounds like St Anger, then fair enough:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ADP_eDAuhg
1 minute clip of an 8 minute new song they played at a recent show. It has a solo :O
|
| |
That sounded kinda good, it doesnt have any lyrics does it??
|
| |
it does earlier in the song. I have the whole song on mp3 now. It's pretty good, well, much better than St Anger anyway.
|
| |
metallica still rules the eard,
|
| |
Um, why is there a poster of Star Wars as Metallica?
*hoping this will be good, but prolly be disappointed*
|
| |
ROBERT TRUJILLO IS AN A**Hole WHO HAS DONE JACKS**T 4 METALLICA
|
| |
Are u kidding man?? Rob is a great bassist. Sure he didnt do much with Metallica yet, but definately not an ass hole.
Anyways, I have hopes for this album. Even if it is like a St. Anger 2, ill still listen to it.
|
| |
I will listen to it too, even if I become extremly disapointed and inject caffine into my veins for no apparent reason.
|
| |
This album HAS to have solos, otherwise Metallica are morons for not paying attention the their fans. WHY WOULD YOU GET JOE SATRIANI TO TEACH YOU GUITAR IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO PLAY SOLOS!?!?!?
|
| |
cant wait hahahaha metal rules metal is my life god damnit
|
| |
Ya same here. ^
Good point MyRamona, I agree totally.
|
| |
(BfHurricane) - Metallica could possibly redeem thierselves. It happens, ie: In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape > Come Clarity. This Message Edited On 06.09.06

I doubt this album will be anywhere near as great as their early work. But I know it will have solos. Thus it's a step up from St. Anger
|
| |
i just hope its better than "st.anger".
|
| |
Rob Trujillo hasnt written anything with Metallica yet. The shithead Bob Rock played bass on st. anger.... Trujillo joined later.
|
| |
I can't wait for this album. Hopefully it won't be as terrible as St. Anger.
