Radiohead Embrace iTunes

2008-01-04 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 23 Comments
Having previously spurned iTunes for refusing to offer In Rainbows only as a full album, Radiohead have reversed course and put up the album's tracks for purchase a la carte from the iTunes music store. Fans can also choose to download the band's entire catalogue from Amazon's music store.

Continuing the theme of firsts, Radiohead have finally given into demand and created an official MySpace page:

Two of the long runners, Zeppelin and Radiohead, give in in about the space of a
month.

That leaves... King Crimson, Tool, and who else? This Message Edited On 01.04.08

Tool, King Crimson and ACDC surprisingly O_o

I'm pretty sure Tool is never giving in, can't say for the others though.
I know this because Tool believes the album art is a huge part of their music.

They weren't underground, but I guarantee you won't find a radio that plays them.

I don't really mind them joining iTunes.. who gives a shit.

I'm so tired of this band, and their stupid "free" album.

Any chance I have of enjoying In Rainbows is canceled out by all of the crap surrounding its release.

I love Radiohead but I really can't believe they would do that to themselves.

Think of this as a good thing. Popularity never did anything wrong to their music. More people need good music.

Because radio stations will base their play list around what your fourth-grade gym class votes to be played during kickball.
