Hypno5e lose the fires

2026-07-23 by MTObsidian | 12 Comments
"Cinematic metal" champions Hypno5e have released the first single from their upcoming November album Trame Noire. The song, titled "Lost Fires," follows in the atmospheric footsteps of their previous record "Sheol" by incorporating moments of crushing heaviness mixed with tender moments of clean vocals and fingerpicking. Fans of Hypno5e's most recent LP will be pleased to hear the similar style while enjoying a bit of something new sprinkled in.
Trame Noire is slated to release on November 6th via Pelagic Records.

Hands down one of the best post metal bands doing it right now. Song is a slow burn (like all their stuff) but man does it go hard in the back half.

Never heard of this band, or ignored them cuz of that name and don't remember. But I enjoy the song, that's fun.

Oh fuck yes I got suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper into this band this last year. Also lmao yeah, really bad name rule violation, it's kind of a bummer how much they rule when I compulsively have to refer them as Hypno Five E.

Also didn't main homie on guitar/vocals just join The Ocean? Very excited for him and that had me worried we wouldn't be seeing any more Hypno5e soon or at all, nice to have that fear quickly abated.
Psychonaut is another of my favorite discoveries this year and the new The Ocean stuff has been great, Pelagic records really killing it for me.

Pelagic rarely misses with their signed bands. Tons of heaters have come out of that label in the last few years.

"Sheol" took a few spins to sink in but I definitely go back to it a lot now, so I'm looking forward to this new one.

@Shape have you listened to Hippotraktor? Same lead vocalist/guitarist as Pyschonaut. The dude doesn't miss.
