Tony Iommi is Deified 2024-08-03 by OmairSh | 9 Comments | The Godfather of Heavy Metal Tony Iommi has returned with a new instrumental track titled “Deified”, which comes three years after his last song “Scent of Dark”. It coincides with the release of a perfume of the same name.
The song is an instrumental with Iommi’s vintage riffs and lead taking centre stage, however the addition of the choir provides an interesting vocal reference point while adding a sense of drama and a gothic feel.
Speaking about the Deified duo Iommi says:
“Deified is a heavier, more medieval track than Scent Of Dark. We've added voices and beefed up the overall sound.
I’m really excited about our new perfume after the success of our last one. We’ve gone through the same process of trying different samples of perfume over the last year until we came up with this one and I really like it"
