Amazing song, amazing video.

and this is pretty much the exact direction I wanted her to go in. I’m so beyond stoked for this record
|
| |
I really like this

Fuckkkkk yeahhhhhh
|

Feels very fresh and pushes her sound forward. Album should be great. :D

I don’t really listen to much of it so maybe I’m completely off base, but I’m kinda getting a trip hop vibe off of this track? That looping piano chord and Chelsea’s dizzying vocal melody, the whole track is really hypnotic. It might be my favorite one so far.

I agree with that trip hop outlook, and yeah i think this counts as at least heavily inspired by it.
|
| |
That's the first thing I thought Wildcard, you're correct.

Great song.
All the songs she's dropped for this new album so far have a bit of a trip-hop vibe to them. It's a style that definitely suits her.

This is more the vibe from Abyss and Hiss Spun. While I was a huge fan of Abyss, I’m still smitten with her folk side. Could use more of that any time.

I’d be fine with it if she never returned to it tbh. i LOVE Apokalypsis and Unknown Rooms, and Birth of Violence was fine too, but Pain is Beauty and Abyss are like the crown jewels of her discography for me, with Hiss Spun not far behind. This record is really shaping up to be incredible imo.
I just hope there’s a few longer songs. Each of the singles have been in the 4 minute range. I doubt her first record in 5 years is barely gonna pass the 40 minute mark but it is something I’m a little worried about.
I want a 6-8 minute monster track like Halfsleeper, The Waves Have Come, or The Culling

Didn't wanna check the last one knowing it's the last track and I totally forgot about the first one so I'm checking this one without hearing any of the other new shit.
Goddamn it's so sick, not gonna listen to any other singles till the album, very excited.

The song literally sounds like Crosses :o

Really enjoy the subtle nods to Portishead and Bjork. The triphop comment above is spot on.
