Insomnium's Songs Of The Dusk 2023-09-01 by Fernando Alves | 14 Comments | Finland's melodic death metallers Insomnium shared a music video for 'Song Of The Dusk', the closing track of their upcoming three-song EP Songs Of The Dusk, out November 11th through Century Media Records. Originally Songs of the Dusk was a part of the Ltd Deluxe 2CD Artbook of Anno 1696 and has not been available separately.

"We simply had eleven great songs, and we thought that this material is too good to be 'just' bonus tracks," Niilo Sevänen (bass, vocals) states. "They are part of the big story, so you can think of them as the director’s cut material that tells a little extra. For those who want to have more."

Godforsaken was an excellent song, and there were a couple of other cool moments on Anno, but yeah it was a bit of a letdown. I actually really dug HLAG.

Nothing new here. These songs were available on the CD version of Anno 1696 as bonus tracks.

Song of the Dusk should have been on the album and not just a bonus track. IMO, Dusk and Godforsaken are the best songs from Anno.

Liking this more than a lot of Anno. Sounds stupid but I feel like they need to start writing more actual riffs again rather than just depending on atmosphere, which is how a lot of Anno came off to me
