Bleed The Dream are Finito 2007-10-10 by AmericnZero02 | 8 Comments | After nearly five years of recording and ceaseless touring, Bleed the Dream has split up. The band's specific reasons for breaking up remain unkown. Speculation might conclude it was due to various musical differences between the pre and post Mark Holmes era. Bleed the Dream will be playing two farewell shows in Ankorage, Alaska on October 12th and 13th dedicated to the band's late, founding member Scott Gottlieb. Alongside current vocalist Mark Holmes, the shows will include founding vocalist Brandon Thomas to sing tracks from "Awake" and "Built By Blood."
Bleed the Dream are currently selling their entire catalog for a mere $10. The box set includes "Awake" (EP), "Asleep/No Apologies" (EP/DVD), "Built By Blood" (LP), and "Killer Inside" (LP).
Each of the remaining members have already begun on new projects. Keith Thompson, Dave Aguilera, and Tom Breyfogle (bass, guitar, and drums respectively) have reunited to form a new band called 'A Permanent Holiday' alongside Tony Lovato (formerly of Mest). Brandon Thomas is currently involved in the band 'Phantom Communique.' And Mark Holmes will be returning to the fashion industry as well as starting work on a solo album.

I haven't payed attention to BtD since Built by Blood, and I don't even listen to that album.
Asleep is a masterpiece though. Broken Wings and A Smile For Judas are so sad. :upset:
I can't say I am hit too hard by this news, since the singer left a while back. I think Scott's death killed the band.

Yeah, he died very soon after Built By Blood. The guy was amazing, he dragged himself out of the hospital to record the drums for the album.
