I'm pretty sure 81% of songs that use exclamation marks in their title are wiener. And yeah, the mixing takes away from some of this.

The riffs on this and the other single besides being dull just don’t work. I don’t know how else to word it but they sound as if they were the result of a free jam session and they just mashed them together and slapped a title on it.

I assume they’re still invested in writing music so I guess that’s what happens when a band is scraping the bottom of the barrel for ideas.

Giving me "ecclesia diabolica catholica" vibes (the chorus from the song and the main riff in the first part) then some other song I can't place... Love the build up.. love the slower parts. Slightly less convincing than the first single but this album should be very good

If you told an AI to write Behemoth songs, the results would sound like these two singles. The riffs are about as generic as Behemoth riffs can get.

That said, i still don't find it that bad. It's pretty alright

At a certain point I think a self respecting band should consider writing under a new moniker to sort of preserve the legacy of their project but of course they might be blind to the drop in the quality of the music they’re writing and it’s easier to capitalise on the existing fan base and merchandise and all. I guess if there isn’t really a stylistic shift besides just getting shitter it wouldn’t really make sense either.

I get the criticism of them being boring though.
Even demigod with its thunderous production and monstrous vocals and the satanist with it’s more unique blackened sound and profane lyrics something about it all still feels a bit sterile and limp dicked, almost like it’s a corporate take on satanic Black Death metal. I enjoy a lot of their music but admit even their best stuff can feel a bit flat and lifeless.

That last riff there has probably been in about 700 other songs at this point. Like, how fkn lazy and creatively bankrupt could your writing possibly be? Maybe recycle a good riff?

Nergals vocals I think are actually still holding ~fairly~ strong considering his age but man these riffs sound like they were created by a Behemoth bot program.

Nergals stint with Leukemia definitely brought him to some creative revelations but aside from that they've always been, at best, a handful of fun albeit slightly overbearing br00tals.
Demigod is kinda good and I still really enjoy Evangelion but tbh everything else is kinda sporadic.
