Well that was whelming.... very cool artwork, they always have great artwork which is awesome. This artwork kind if reminds me of an Iron Maiden or Megadeth album cover, but the current singles dont match the vibe of the artwork at all imo.

i think if you're listening to ghost expecting riffs you're definitely going to be disappointed. i don't think the riffs have ever been a strong point. this band is purely about the hooks and the schtick

The new song didn't work for me at all. A few tiny fun moments here and there, but it's almost 5 bloody minutes of boring verses, a single riff, and basically zero hooks. All that at a painfully slow pace too.

Not bad, but a little bit underwhelming. I also prefer Hunter's Moon.

on little sunshine they lean heavily into arena rock (quite a predictable trajectory and not a bad one) but it's just really predictable and doesn't go anywhere interesting. the riff it relies on isn't that great and the hook is underwhelming. it's just not a great song. hunters moon too.

Hunter's Moon sucks and shouldn't be included. New song is enjoyable, but still not up to snuff with anything on their previous 4 records (except maybe Infestissumam).

Man wtf happened, these guys used to have some cool jams in the first few albums. Now they just sound bored. For a band that takes it to 11 with the schtick and evil priest aesthetic, you would think they would try to make music that doesn't put people to sleep

Been listening to BOC's debut these past weeks and there's a bit of latest Ghost there for sure, but the comparison is a stretch.

I've only heard Opus Eponymous in full and I honestly really like that album. Not sure why I didn't keep following them with how much I dig it. Hearing these singles though these tracks lack everything that made me like that album. Might still give this album a shot just to see if anything does it for me but it's a big no for me on these singles

I do like it, but as someone else said I really wish they went with the retro Satanic Panic sound from those singles a few years ago, that sound was definitely worth exploring more

It's not about being cool or not though. The band has changed/softened quite a bit over the years so negative reactions are not surprising.

This band is a weird guilty pleasure. I can't deny how catchy the songs are, yet if I didn't listen to them from the beginning I would be immediately worried that I was turning into a balding 48 year old man who just bought his first motorcycle.

As someone who has enjoyed basically everything they've done up to now, I can say that this track and Hunter's Moon really, really suck. This sounds like Load-era Metallica.

I actually did not like Satanic Panic at all, and it makes sense they aren't doing that anymore since they changed Papa once again. Mummy Dust and Ghuleh Zombie Queen are my faves by the band. I heard their music be described as "scooby doo chase music" and that couldn't be any more accurate lol.
