Gerhart STAFF | 27 Comments | Megadeth, premier US metal band and now official soul successors to KISS, have followed on the hot trend of branded blockchain concepts no one in the band actually understands. The band, led by allegedly sober beer and wine entrepreneur/salesman Dave Mustaine, are releasing the new $MEGA cryptocurrency (not to be confused with the already-in-existence-and-probably-managed-by-tech-savvier-firms MegaCoin) available for purchase via their "cyberarmy" fan club or through the Rally portal linked below.
As of this writing, $MEGA coins are worth 38.4 cents a piece. In addition to whatever their not-quite-Wall-Street worth, the band promise that "special things coming up soon for $MEGA holders" and suggest that "you hold at least 10 $MEGA to get access to exclusive content, special tour access, Q+A’s, hangouts with the band, and special items."
