Not nearly as bad as their last couple "records", but this band still sucks some pretty big dick.

it literally sounds like a groovier Disturbed from like 2003 what the fuck. I'm honestly curious what kind of mental gymnastics you have to go through after seeing the acclaim of Locust/Blackening and utter disdain for Catharsis to think that more nu metal is a good idea.

That is the worst shit this band has ever put out. Period.

To think that Vogg was in one of my favorite bands and is now part of this dogshit is really disappointing. It’s clear they’re just trying to keep getting paid and I understand that but to go this hard into radio sounding, theory of a deadman, fucking bullshit is the nail in the coffin. As if catharsis wasnt.

Robb Flynn should have retired some time ago already IMO. Two great albums at the start ['Burn My Eyes' and 'The More Things Change'] after that, pure storms of SHIT for a couple of years, with two albums that were a fucking joke. Things suddenly seemed to get well again with 'Through the Ashes of Empires' and 'The Blackening'. After these...he should have put his ass in a hospice.

I started listening to this and it sounded pretty good. But tbh...I still don't care. So I just turned it off.

the heavy riffs are cool, but the lyrics are cliche as hell.

musically this isn't that bad. it has a very nu-influenced blackening era feel, but i dig it. lyrics are bad, yeah.

I still prefer this version.
