Sallow Moth releases debut LP 2020-01-21 by toastrock | 4 Comments | After a few years of EP's, Sallow Moth (Garry of Cara Neir) returns with a debut full length in the form of a concept death metal album based around the project's sci-fi/horror/fantasy lore & worldbuilding -- a universe revolving around the conflicts between celestial humanoid nature-preserving moth beings, technology-obsessed network of humans & androids bent on power and space colonization, and a defected faction of moth creatures who went rogue mutating into galactic scavengers and sorcerers who thrive on chaos and death magic. Musically, it's quite a departure from Garry's output in Cara Neir with his take on death metal taking the forefront here.
To delve deeper, the comprehensive story arc can be read on their bandcamp. The 'Deathspore' EP is more of a prologue and 1st chapter, while the new release 'The Larval Hope' continues from there.
