New Marilyn Manson Video 2019-10-18 by Simon K. STAFF | 10 Comments | Marilyn Manson has released a music video to promote his rendition of "God's Gonna Cut You Down". The track, originally performed by Odetta (Holmes) Gordon -- and more famously covered by Johnny Cash -- was collaboratively recorded with producer Tyler Bates way back in 2017, and put on Bates' film soundtrack 24 Hours to Live. The song is being promoted for Manson's current tour dates, and will be getting a vinyl picture disc release to coincide with the music video and tour.
Check out the video here:
The tour dates are as follows:
October 24 – San Antonio, TX @ Aztec Theater
October 25 – Dallas, TX @ KEGL Freaker’s Ball
October 26 – Oklahoma City, OK @ Kattfest 2019
October 28 – Denver, CO @ Fillmore Auditorium
October 29 – Salt Lake City, UT @ The Union
October 31- Las Vegas, NV @ The Pearl Concert Theater
November 2 – Anaheim, CA @ House of Blues
November 3 – Phoenix, AZ @ The Van Buren

a little arbitrary, but the track is fun. possible sonic foreshadowing for an upcoming album?
| | | Not a bad song, but pretty stagnant throughout. Doesn’t really lead to anything, just drones along.
| | | That’s a short fucking tour. Is he expected to announce more dates I’m
assuming?
| | | great track
| | | He said he almost finished a bluesy record with Shooter Jennings helping out. Most likely, he'll be releasing it next year. I'm curious if Tyler Bates is still involved, he's been a blessing for Manson's career.
| | | Upcoming album may or may not be self titled as well
| | | Basically the Johnny Cash version is the real version. Though it's a cover.
| | | I really like the song
| | | works well
| | | £27 for that picture disc though... no thanks.
