this was so boring. I have a lot of respect for the members of Alkaline Trio that aren't Matt, because Is This Thing Cursed was fantastic, and it's a shame that Matt attached himself to this band that should have quit after Neighborhoods at latest

maybe it's because i have unconditional love towards matt especially when he pushes his upper register but this is def my top song from the skiba era of blink

If you'd let me hear this in 2001 and told me it was the blink of the future I would have probably stopped listening to music. Amazingly bad. The autotune effect is so bad.

The lyrics and production are so awful that even me, someone who's a complete slut for Matt Skiba, can't stand to listen to it. The only thing these most recent blink songs have given me is an obvious sign that they are not progressing at all.

In terms of songwriting, my man. The quality gap between Alkaline Trio's most recent material and California/this piece of shit is so noticeable. It's extremely far fetched and unreal to think that Matt is a creative force on blink, unless he puts in zero effort and just cashes in. As someone who thought California was just ok, I’m not looking forward to this one that much, it’s got potential to be their worst album when it drops by a pretty big gap. Kind of a shame, especially off the back of Matt’s run with Alkaline Trio last year.
